‘What?’ Shane shouted. ‘You want me to go to school?’ She asked.

‘It can’t be helped, Shane. We sense demonic presence in that school but we cannot do anything without God’s consent. The only thing we could do is to spy and make sure whatever we felt was just bogus.’ Eric said sternly.

‘I know that, but why me? Why can’t you send someone else? You know, you can send Chad or Enrique, why me?’ Shane asked.

‘They’re going as well. That school is big. And we need as much information as possible, sweetie. Please be understanding.’ Eric said with a very gentle tone.

‘Fine!’ Shane said with anger and dissatisfaction.

The conversation died down to only the sound of their forks and spoons clattering with their plates. Shane hated it, whenever any conversation dies down to complete silence it would only have to mean they’re not telling her something important. And there not planning to tell it to here no matter what. What’s the point of asking if they’re not telling?

Quickly, she thought of another question. ‘How’s Bob?’ She asked.

Both Charlie and Eric arched an eyebrow at her. She obviously knew why. Because she didn’t ask ‘what going on?’ but she asked another totally unrelated question. Neither of them spoke.

Then, suddenly a feminine voice spoke. Yap, that’s her mother. ‘His doing fine but he won’t be off the bed for quite a while.’ She said. Her mother is a doctor working at that hospital where she found that Damian kid. Suddenly realizing that she was remembering about him, she mentally slaps herself and quickly throw that thought away.

‘Damn, he was fucking lucky. He dash out there without following my orders. Serve him right.’ Shane spat.

‘Now, Shane! Watch your language! No cursing! You’re a girl.’ Mother said with a stern tone. ‘That must be because of you!’ She pointed at Eric with the butter knife. ‘There’s too much testosterone in the house that turned your daughter into a complete tomboy!’

‘Hey, now, that’s not my fault, Amy.’ Eric said with a shaky tone. Funny how someone like him would be afraid of his own wife. A top FBI agent afraid of his wife, this is like some kind of comedy.

‘Right! I told you not to show her how you use the knife and all and now look what you’ve done!’ Her mother said it as she threw the butter knife straight at Eric. Immediately, he dodges it.

‘I like the way I speak and I like to fight.’ Shane said. ‘There isn’t a need to blame everything on dad, mum.’ She added and then sighed. ‘Dad, so have you figured out who gouge out that man’s heart?’ She asked straight to the point. This must be the thing that there trying not to tell.

‘Ah…… We don’t know yet.’ Charlie said it with a joking tone.

‘Don’t know, or you guys just don’t feel like telling me?’ Shane asked sternly and then gave out a long sigh. ‘Whatever.’ She said as she walks out of the dining room towards the front door. ‘I’m going out for a walk. You guys wouldn’t tell me anyway.’ She sighed in disappointment and frustration. They’ll never tell me anything that will put me in danger. She thought

Slowly, she walks down the street and stare up the sky that is filled with stars. Why don’t they trust me? She thought. Angrily, she kicked the stone at her path. A sudden gush of wind blowing towards, she shuddered because of the sudden coldness. When would they ever let me do my thing? She thought. A sudden japs of pain her chest made her heart clenches. A sudden image emerges into her sight, shock pulse through her as the sudden change of environment root her to the ground.

Is it her heart that hurts? No. She could see a man and a woman fighting. No, they’re not human at all. The woman turns into a shadowy looking dust and was lunge by a Damn. Wait, there is a Damn nearby? No, that’s not it. She’s not there. She’s…… in someone’s mind. She stared blankly into the man’s thought.

I am nothing but a tool to their benefits? My true father only wanted me to suffer and my brother and sister want me just for the sake breaking their curse. Their words japed straight into my heart like tiny needles one by one hitting straight into it. Why must I go through that? Why would I kill myself for the sake of the humans? Why did I kill myself for Leana? Why? The whole point of me here, in the human world was to suffer my punishment, yet, why did I want to save them? The King, Queen, Leana and everyone. Why did I want to save them from myself?

Shane blinked as she heard all his thought, the conflict he is going through. She could feel the pain that he is suffering. What had happened to him? She thought.

Almost immediately, the images zoom out of her mind and she was back to reality. What was that? She thought. Suddenly, on the East side, a glowing golden object flew straight up in the skies. The glowing object emerges up and she could see it. A pair of black wings with feathers nothing like a Damn, it’s so beautiful with the glowing golden aura. But she could not make out his face, although she was certain it is a man. The black wings man slowly glow dimmer and then disappeared into the darkness. Stunned by his beauty she stared up the skies, her legs still rooted to the ground unable to move. What was that? Is it an angel?
