He felt a little creep out and feeling completely like a psycho. Did he just hear that or that is some side effect of his curse? A girl just shouted at him to stop. He is sure the house has nobody around so he could do this fast and clean, so nobody could try to stop him. But oddly enough, a voice in his head just told him not to suicide. Is it Damian himself that doesn’t want it? No, he was determined to do it and certainly a voice in his head shouldn’t be some chick.

When he thinks again, he could still feel her and remember how her voice sounded. It was beautiful. It was soft but somehow brought a little feeling of a strong woman. The only person he knew had such a beautiful voice is her. But would she be in his head? Has he gone crazy because he misses her too much?

Suddenly, a loud bang startled Damian. Damian then realized that he is still in the kitchen, although he is no longer holding the knife, it is still a weird thing to find him in the kitchen. After all, he never goes to the kitchen unless he is hungry. Quickly, he pulled the chair out and acted annoyed. ‘Brown, I’m hungry.’ Damian said coldly not looking back at who it was. ‘I am not Brown, son.’ Instantly, Damian recognizes his voice, it is his father. ‘His on sick leave and Damian today the maid does not work, try cooking yourself.’ His father said.

‘Me?’ Damian said with a tone of shock. ‘I can’t cook!’ Damian was practically shouting as he turns to face his father. ‘God! Are you still a child?’ Timothy throws his head to the back and walks towards the kitchen counter as he begins cooking. Damian arched an eyebrow at his father with surprise. So his father could cook? Seventeen years of life with him and this is the first time he sees his father cooking. ‘Have you cooked for mother before?’ Damian asked with a pinch of pain in his chest as he holds back the hate of the thought. His father nodded quietly. Damian was somewhat relief to know that his mother actually had such privilege. ‘Damian, what you did to Angelica is……’ His father said but left the last part hanging. Damian rolled his eyes. ‘Cruel? Bad? Womanizing?’ Damian said in an annoyed tone. His father looks at him at a moment and shook his head. ‘I was going to say ‘good’. I was trying to catch her for a long time. Thanks to you I got rid of that slut.’ His father replied as he swiftly played with the pan like he had done these thousands of time. ‘If you want her out, why do you bother correcting me from insulting her?’ Damian asked out of curiosity. ‘Damian, is it wrong to want your child to have a good manner?’ Timothy replied and Damian couldn’t help but laugh. ‘Well, you’re doing a great job.’ Damian said sarcastically. Timothy shook his head but was laughing as well.

‘Why is this knife out?’ Timothy suddenly asks. Damian’s eyes widen and realized that he hasn’t put it back to the drawers. Damn! His father always notices things that are misplace or not in a proper place. ‘I was planning to eat some salad or something, so I took it out but then I realized I have no idea how to.’ Damian said bluntly. His father arched an eyebrow at him and sighed. ‘I spoiled you too much, Damian.’ He said. Damian laughed.

‘You seem troubled lately, Damian. Even at the game, you weren’t at your best.’ Timothy said. Which made Damian eyes widen, Timothy just said that Damian isn’t at his best when he played, have his father seen him played before? ‘You’ve seen me played before this game?’ Damian asked in shock. His father quietly nodded but was still waiting for Damian to answer his question. ‘I…… Girl problem, dad, any advice?’ Damian hesitated at first but quickly said it cheerfully and cheekily. ‘You’re having girl problem? My son can’t get a girl? That is just too close to impossible.’ His father replied jokingly. ‘I can get her easily, okay!’ Damian said as he felt a little offended. ‘It’s just……’ He couldn’t reply, his heart clenches in pain, as he remembered how he had just left her in the field like that. ‘Son, do you love her?’ Timothy asked with a serious tone. Damian nodded. ‘If there is something that make you think you shouldn’t be with her, then, you’re absolutely wrong. Your life, your love and your fate can only be decided by you. You do not need to care about what others think.’ Timothy said. Damian couldn’t reply him. It is true that his life is his to own not others but it is his life that is being controlled by others.

After his father finished making a plate of omelet, Damian dig in hungrily. To his amazement, it tasted wonderful. He ate hungrily as his father made himself a cup of coffee. ‘Damian, if you need to share anything, I am here.’ Timothy said to his son. Damian didn’t reply as he put the plate into the sink and walked away.

Although his father’s words were right, it wouldn’t work on him because the circumstances are different. Damian is the spawn of the Satan and is not a human. Those principles that work on the humans can never work on him nor can it work on her. But then, what happened just now truly shock Damian.

He could not grasp what had happen nor can he understand it. She had slipped into his mind without him knowing. Damian couldn’t understand it, he thought he was going crazy but knew better. He could practically feel her heart beat beating in sync with his. He could feel her emotions. Tiredly, he slips into his bath tub with his IPod playing loudly. He let himself relax to try to feel her more. Damian could feel her mind drifting in thoughts and couldn’t help but smile. If this was really his imagination, he would wish for it to be real. Suddenly, an image smashes into his mind. He could see a book in front of him. He could hear someone reading in the mind. Damian recognizes that voice. It is hers, it is Shane’s voice. A smile spread across his face and he loves the idea that he could slips into her mind like that. He read the book in his mind and learnt that she is trying to figure out what had happened as well. He learnt that they are soul mates and they are linked by a Soul Chain. He smiled at that fact. Everything is now in place and he realized that how he felt for her was also because of this bond.

But then, he could feel water around her. He could feel whatever she is feeling. Instantly, Damian realizes that what she is doing. She’s taking a bath and reading! He could her hand moving to her chest and instantly, he felt the need to withdraw his mind away from her. Although they are soul mates, it did not give him right to peek at her body or even feel her body. But he couldn’t, she could feel her need for him and he was pulled by that need of hers. Her palm moves to her chest to feel if there was a Soul Chain and Damian couldn’t help but flush a little. Damn! Her skin is so delicate and soft. He thought as her fingers move along her chest.

Damian quickly shook his head hard and he was back at in his bathroom in his tub. He groaned feeling a little disappointed but still liked the feel of her body and her mind caressing his. He loves her skin and was dying to feel it with his own hand. He wants to press his lips onto hers. He needs to have her in his arms. He needs her like oxygen. Softly, he caresses her mind by brushing softly against hers. It felt so easy. It must be because of his demonic and angelic blood. For the first time, he does not curse his blood but was thankful for it. He could feel her smile and shivered with pleasure.

He let his thought go through the link. He thought of himself moving his fingers across her long silky brown hair, he let his hand touch her warm skin and let his lips touches hers. It sends pulse of pleasure down to both of them like an electric shock. Both of them felt the soft caress and were deeply begging to be with each other. Call my name. Damian sent that thought through the link. I don’t know your name. She replied through the link with her emotions along. She was curious and was dying to know his name. A smile spread across his face. Shane, you have to learn it yourself. Damian thought. It wouldn’t go through even if he wants to tell her. It was in the book. He read it when he was in her mind. I know. But I don’t even know you. She agreed. You do. I will always be by your side, mon seul et unique. He thought to her. What does that mean? She asked. Damian smiled. You’ll learn, my dear, you’ll learn.
