Chapter Twenty Eight: House Arrest

They were already at the front door of her house but Eric still refuses to let Damian in. Eric, Shane’s father still in denial because he still couldn’t take the fact that she is his Soul Mate. He was the first Grimm to notice that I am the half angel and half devil. Damian had read that from that man’s mind when he last came here. It was odd because all of his power is coming back fast when his memories just got back. Things seem to just fall in place like he knew that all along. He wasn’t shock or anything but was actually completely used to it. It must be because of his thousands of time of reincarnation. He got so use to it that he felt numb to all these.

Damian stared down at Eric as Damian was so much taller than her father. He didn’t make a sound as Shane and her father argued.  He wasn’t talking because he was busy reading that man’s mind.

Damn it! I still cannot believe this! But now, my daughter is in danger because of this boy! I can’t believe this! All that I had planned for her life is ruin! Great! Now, you want me to let this sinister in my house? Over my dead body!

Damian smirked at that man’s thought and begins to look at the angry mate of his. She had her arms crossed and was convinced that she wouldn’t go in without Damian. Her forehead ceased and she grunted with anger. Her father did the same and they both glared at each other. It was so funny how their characteristics are alike. Mrs. Aragon stood behind of Eric with her arms crossed and staring at Damian to see what he would do about the situation.

‘Your father had your life planned out.’ Damian said to add oil to the fire. He wanted to watch her throw her anger because it amuses him and he heard the man hissed. ‘What?!’ She was practically shouting. ‘Whom you were going to married to and even what work you should be in.’ Damian said as he smirked at the man. The man glared at Damian furiously. ‘You what?’ She spat. Damian watches amusingly at her as she begins to narrow her eyes at her father. ‘It was for your own good!’ Eric said.

‘Sir, I am pretty sure her life is in her hands.’ Damian added. Shane nodded at him as she agreed but Eric grunted with dislike. ‘This is none of your business!’ Eric spat. ‘It is when she is my Soul Mate.’ Damian said and it made Eric hissed at Damian’s words. Mrs. Aragon’s eyes widen and she quickly pushed pass her husband. ‘This changes things, Eric!’ She said. Her tone was dead serious and filled with concern. ‘Yes. If I die, she dies.’ Damian said. Which that made Eric hiss again with anger because he didn’t like that idea at all. ‘He is coming in!’ Mrs. Aragon said and quickly a smile spread across Shane’s face and Damian couldn’t help but chuckled at how Eric had to surrender.

‘Thank you, Mrs. Aragon.’ Damian nodded to her as he got in. She shook her head. ‘Please call me, Amy.’ She said and Damian nodded. Damian was led to Shane’s room but was stop immediately by her father. ‘I let you in but I did not allow you to be in the same room as my daughter.’ Eric said as he stared down at Damian’s hand. Shane grunted and walks straight to the kitchen with anger.

‘Sir, I thank you as well for letting me in. But I have to ask you this one more favor.’ Damian said. Eric narrowed his eyes at Damian suspiciously. ‘What is it?’ He asked. Damian turned to Amy and nodded to thank her when she pointed them to the living room. All three of them went into the living room and Damian sat comfortably on the sofa. ‘I would like to call my siblings over for a meeting. I hope you wouldn’t mind.’ Damian said. Eric hissed again. ‘One son of gun is enough! I do not want any Damns in my territory!’ Eric said with a harsh tone. ‘I would do it in the church but my siblings would burn to death. I cannot let that happen. This is the only place that is not in my father’s sight or hearing.’ Damian said. With a thoughtful nod, Amy agreed. Eric shook his head hard. ‘You will not do that, Amy! I am the leader of our clan here. I shall choose what is good for the clan and our family.’ Eric said. Amy’s composed face turned red with anger. ‘What is good for your family is to cooperate with this boy. He is planning to protect our daughter so I would very much prefer my daughter safe! Eric, a good leader must know how to compromise.’ She said sternly.

Eric shook his head again and stood up with anger. ‘I will not allow that! Not a step in my territory!’ Eric shouted. ‘Sir, I have to tell you this.’ Damian said. His voice is now in a serious tone. Eric still stood up with anger. ‘I have to tell you both this very important thing. So, would you allow me in your mind?’ Damian asked politely. Amy nodded and Eric nodded as well knowing that it is something deadly serious and I didn’t want Shane to hear it.

Only yesterday, I had realized that father, the Devil, had a plan for me. From the moment he knew I existed he wanted me. You both know that the Devil was once an angel before but was banished from the heavens. The Devil was cursed to never be able to set foot in the heaven. So because of that, he needed a body that can be at both heaven and hell. I am that body. The only way to get my body was to put in me in this curse. He cursed me to reincarnate again and again forever as a punishment but that was just an excuse for his plan. He wanted me to die of a natural death so when my soul leaves my human body I would be weak and my soul would take time to materialize. And when that happens he would take over my body and attack the heaven for revenge.

With that, Eric fell back to the sofa in shock and Amy couldn’t speak a word. Damian watches the both of them with concern as though they would have a heart attack anytime soon. I hope you can hide this from Shane. I do not wish for my Mate to learn that. I do not want her to be too worried. Damian sends the thought to both of them. It took a while but Amy nodded in agreement. Eric finally took in a deep breath and understood Damian’s situation. Although clearly this man did not like Damian, he didn’t want to make the situation worse. Eric understands now why Damian needed protection.

The three of them had a secret conversation in their minds when Shane got back. It was concluded that Shane should be under house arrest as she may be hurt if she got out of the barrier. Knowing Shane, she would not stay still and she would not take this news well as well.

‘What?!’ She was practically shouting. ‘House arrest? I am totally grounded? But I can take care of myself! I need to go to school you know!’ She said angrily. ‘That is why now the priority of Chad and Enrique is to be your guard whenever you go to school. I would very much prefer you staying at home but your mate wants to let you have some fresh air.’ Eric said with dislike. ‘Charlie would be at the school as well as your guard.’ Eric turn to Damian and Damian nodded. Shane narrowed her eyes at them suspiciously. ‘You two had some secret conversation, haven’t you?’ She asked. Damian smirked. ‘Amy allowed me to sleep over.’ Damian said. He knew that this news would make her jump up with happiness but she was good at hiding it.

Eric’s phone rang and he mumbled and then nodded to Damian to show that he had allowed his siblings to enter. After a minute or two, the doorbell rang and Amy went to get it. Dominic and Allure stepped in. Both Dominic and Allure were amused by how Damian manages to convince the Grimm to allow them to enter the barrier. But Damian didn’t bother. Then, another man came in and Damian stood up in surprise. ‘Sebastian.’ Damian called when he saw him walked in. Shane quickly stood up as well. ‘Don’t be too happy about this, Damian! I only came here so that I would be able to kill you myself.’ Sebastian said.

Damian knew that Sebastian had only said that to hide his concern. Damian also knew that Shane shouldn’t be here to hear what he would be discussing with his siblings. Quickly, he holds on to Shane. ‘Eric, will you help me tell them what we had discussed? I need to bring this baby upstairs to sleep.’ Damian said. Eric’s eyes burned angrily at Damian and Damian could only laugh at that man. Shane shook her head showing that she didn’t want to get upstairs. ‘I want to be included in your meeting, Casanova!’ She said and both Amy and Eric’s eyes widen in how her tone seems so girlish and flirty. Damian knew she was only doing this to make him agree. So he shook his head. ‘No, missy. You’re tired the fight had worn you out so you should sleep. I’ll tug you in.’ He said to convince her to go up. But it didn’t work. ‘I want to know about the plan, Damian.’ She said her tone was clearly showing that she annoyed. ‘I will fill you in tomorrow morning or would you like to stay at home to sleep tomorrow morning.’ Damian asked knowing this would work. She hissed and begins moving up. ‘I’m only going up because you black mailed me!’ She said. Damian chuckled and got up with her.
