Sorry it's a bit late. Enjoy 😉

A week had passed and it was now Thanksgiving day. Sophie had been as bored as ever, since she was grounded. She couldn't even hang out with her friends after school or even visit her mom, but visiting her mom wasn't due to being grounded.

When she saw her friends at school for a few days before Thanksgiving break, she had checked up on them to see how they were doing. Most of them were a little mad at Sophie for not telling them about all of this from the beginning and especially mad that Keefe got to know before them. Sophie remembered hearing Dex grumble something about Keefe being the new wonderboy.

Sophie promised that she would include them with everything from then on. That seemed to satisfy most of them.

Sophie was also happy that Keefe was finally out of the hospital, but she wouldn't see him until the Thanksgiving party.

Soon enough, it was about an hour before the party and Sophie started to get ready. She knew that she needed to dress a little bit more fancy. She decided to go with a plain, knee length red dress she had with elbow length sleeves, for the cold weather. To go along with it she put on a plaid scarf. Sophie then wore dark leggings and long leather boots to top it off.

Here's a picture of it:

Sophie then weaved her hair into a braid that hung over her shoulder. She then decided that a touch of mascara and some lip gloss would be enough.

When she looked at herself in the mirror, she felt that it was a bit too much for herself, but when she looked at the time, she decided that it was too late to change and that she would just have to go as she was.

When she walked down the stairs, Grady was already waiting by the door.
"Wow," he breathed. "You look so pretty tonight."

Sophie blushed. "Thanks dad."

"It's a good thing that I will be there today. When those boys fall for you, I'll be there to tell them off and give them a price of my mind!"

"DAD!"

"Alright, alright let's just go. The party is going to start soon. And remember Sophie, if anything seems off or something happens, come straight to me."

"I will," Sophie promised.

"I love you kiddo," Grady said as he wrapped her in a bear hug.

"I love you too," Sophie murmured.

"Well," Grady said when he pulled away after a minute. "We best get going."

"Yeah," Sophie replied.

Grady knocked at the door as he and Sophie stood at the entrance of the Vackers' humongous mansion.
