Chapter 117: Still There

Sophie felt her hands get clammy and her heart beat quicken as she approached the front step of Keefe's house.

It had taken LOTS of convincing for Grady to let Sophie go.

Lately, Grady's new target was Keefe and Grady was definitely getting suspicious.

Every time Sophie has hung out with Keefe over the past few weeks, Sophie would claim "nothing will happen," which was true.

Except this time...

Especially when Grady saw that she was a bit dressed up.

Her friends had agreed that if she dressed up too much, it would look weird. So, they put on light makeup, a cute off-the-shoulder top, some jeans, and they straightened her hair.

Biana had also insisted that Sophie should wear this expensive perfume that Biana carried around. Sophie didn't want it at all since she never wore perfume but Biana and the girls insisted.

Hopefully it wasn't too noticeable.

Sophie took a deep breath in and blew out. She then quickly rung the doorbell before she would regret all of this and run away.

Within seconds, Cassius opened the door and raised an eye brow. "You're here again I see," he said, towering over Sophie.

"Obviously," Sophie said, rolling her eyes.

"Why must you always speak to me like that?" He asked.

"Treat Keefe better and maybe I'll consider greeting you the next time I see you," Sophie huffed as she walked right past him.

That scenario was basically what happened every time Sophie came over.

That man had some nerve.

Sophie looked around and assumed that Keefe was probably in his room. She made her way up but when she peaked in his room, he wasn't there.

Only Keefe Jr, who was happily bouncing in his tank.

Sophie quickly ran over and said a quick 'hello' to Keefe Jr. before she left Keefe's room.

Where was Keefe?

Sophie went downstairs and heard humming in the kitchen.

Sophie made her way to the enormous kitchen and regretted it when she saw Gisela cleaning the dishes.

Gisela gasped and spun around when she saw Sophie. "Oh hello, Sophie! I didn't know you were coming over," she exclaimed.

"I didn't know either," Sophie said honestly.

Gisela then stretched out her arms as if she were about to hug Sophie but then she stopped herself and frowned. "We're not exactly at the hugging stage, now are we?" Gisela asked.

Sophie shook her head and took a step away.

Gisela wasn't that bad. But she could still be nasty to Keefe sometimes.

Gisela then cleared her throat, awkwardly. "Well then, I'm assuming you're looking for Keefe?" She asked. Sophie nodded.

"He's actually in the basement. I think he's using up the old bowling room," Gisela said.

"Bowling room? Keefe bowls?" Sophie asked, a little surprised.

Gisela then looked around before she whispered, "sometimes when Cassius has a yelling match with Keefe, Keefe will sometimes just go down there afterwards to take out his anger."
