Chapter 107: Mystery

Sophie gulped as she backed up and bumped into her scared friends. They then all stood back to back and clung to each other's hands.

Sophie's lips trembled as she watched all of the Neverseen members surround her and her friends.

The only ones that had their faces revealed were Ken, Hank, and Dan Rogers.

Sophie thought about who could be the other Neverseen members that were choosing to hide themselves in their dark cloaks.

Sophie realized that her stalker was probably here. And maybe even the girl or woman that visited Linh.

But Sophie couldn't focus on that at the moment. What was her biggest problem was the machine guns pointed at Sophie and her friends.

Calm down Sophie! It's okay, they won't shoot you because they need you!

But they would shoot Sophie's friends...

And kill them...

Sophie looked around and realized that she had to think of an escape plan fast.

But when Sophie couldn't figure out anything, she decided that her best idea for now would be to stall.

"Hold on a minute!" Sophie shouted, before they could shoot.

"What?" Ken snapped.

"Listen, you can't kill my friends," Sophie said.

"And why's that?" Ken asked, looking annoyed.

"Um...because—because if you shoot, then people will hear and see the commotion! Yeah! And then um, you'll get caught!" Sophie said.

"Oh I see," Ken said, realizing that she was right.

Sophie couldn't help smiling when she realized that she probably saved her friends.

Yay!

"You know what, I have a better idea," Ken said, looking at Sophie.

"We will take you guys with us," Ken said.

"Wait what?" Sophie asked.

"You heard me. We will take you guys with us and we will take care of your friends in our own hideout. We have better equipment to torture your friends there. Then we can burn them after we kill them, right along with Nick," Ken said.

Ugh no! This was worse now!

Way to go! Sophie thought sarcastically.

Sophie then gasped as the dark figures started to come closer with their arms reaching out.

Sophie squeezed her eyes shut as she prepared herself to get kidnapped.

But then all of a sudden, a voice shouted, "SOPHIE WHERE ARE YOU! SOPHIE!"

Sophie's eyes widened as she realized it was Grady's voice.

"SOPHIE!" Edaline called.

Sophie then turned and saw that Ken realized who it was too.

Shoot! Now Grady and Edaline would be caught and in danger too!

Sophie then saw Ken getting his Neverseen friends ready to shoot.

Sophie then screamed, "DAD! MOM! RUN AWAY! DON'T COME HERE!"

But Sophie was too late. Grady and Edaline already reached them and gasped when they saw the situation.
