This is the last part for the Thanksgiving chapters! This one's a bit shorter, but it's important. I will also draw Keefe Jr tomorrow and post it on the next chapter! I'm so excited! Anyways, enjoy!

"Who are you guys?" The man asked, sounding shocked. Sophie couldn't see what he looked like because the hood of the black jacket he was wearing was covering his face.

"Who are you?" Sophie countered.

Sophie heard him take a deep breath as he pulled back his hood. "My name's Wylie Endal."

That was easy.

Sophie took a second to study him. Wylie was a tall and muscular guy that looked about a few years older than them. He had chocolate-brown skin along with piercing bright blue eyes. Beyond his eyes, Sophie could see a deep emotion that wasn't hard to pin point since she had felt it many times before.

Grief.

"And you are?" He asked, breaking her out of her thoughts.

Sophie shared a look with Tam and Keefe that seemed to say 'should we trust this guy?'

A name wouldn't hurt, right?

"Sophie," she reluctantly replied.

Wylie sucked in a sharp breath as he stepped back. "Sophie Foster?" His voice asked in disbelief.

"How do you know my last name?" Sophie asked.

"There's um...lots of talk about you in this town," Wylie said, slowly.

"I wouldn't be surprised. After all, she is the Famous Miss F," Keefe said, jumping in.

Sophie rolled her eyes. "I'm sure there is. So, Wylie...why are you here?"

Wylie hesitated. "I'm meeting up with a friend."

"Here? You guys have great taste in hangout spots," Keefe joked.

Sophie had been so shocked seeing Wylie here, that she didn't even look around to see where they were at.

When Sophie looked around, it looked like they were in some kind of underground tunnel that connected to a sewer. The place was filthy and dark. There was litter everywhere, and Sophie almost barfed when she noticed the smell. It smelled like a dead rat that rolled around in poop and then went in a dumpster for a while.

"But why here?" Sophie asked. "This connects to the Vacker Mansion."

"I know, that's because Wylie here is friends with a Vacker," a voice said behind them.

Sophie turned around to see that it was Alvar. "You two know each other?"

"Yep, Wylie and I have been best buddies for years," Alvar said as he made his way over to Wylie and did some weird chest bump thing that guys tended to do a lot.

"Okay, but you do know that there is a normal way to meet Alvar at his place, right?" Keefe told Wylie. "You can just walk through the main door and not through this stinky sewer," Keefe noted, fanning his hand in front of his nose for effect.

"But this way is a lot more fun," Alvar said with a wink. Sophie wasn't convinced at all. She knew that something was going on. "The better question is, why are you three here?" Alvar asked.

"We were just playing when we found this secret passageway and then decided to check it out," Sophie explained. "How did you even find this place anyways?" She asked.

"It's pretty cool huh?" Alvar said, grinning. But Sophie noticed that he didn't answer her question.

"If you like sewers and the smell of dead rats, then yeah, it's cool," Keefe said sarcastically.

"Okay, not to ruin this conversation here, but I really need to talk to Alvar," Wylie said, crossing his arms.

"About what?" Sophie asked.

"Okay, can you tell your friend here to cool it with the staring? It's kind of creeping me out," Wylie said, pointing to Tam and Sophie noticed that Wylie also didn't answer her question.

But Sophie then realized that Tam hadn't spoken this whole time and was indeed staring intently at Wylie, while muttering inaudible words.

"Bang Boy? You good over there?" Keefe asked, waving a hand in front of Tam's face.

Tam seemed to snap out of it as he looked around with confusion in his eyes.

That's weird.

"Okay, you guys have to go now. Wylie and I have to have a serious and private discussion without you guys here. There's nothing to worry about," Alvar said, motioning them to go to back to the wide stone stairs.

Even though this whole scenario seemed suspicious and Sophie was curious for information, she let it go. It really was none of her business, but a voice in the back of her head kept telling her that something was off.

Sophie and Keefe walked quietly back to the way they came as Tam walked with them, but with a far away look as he kept mumbling under his breath.

When they made it to the top, the wall was already open. As they left the passageway, Sophie thought she heard distant yells and screams coming from the way she came. But she shrugged it off, since she had probably imagined it.

When the wall closed behind them, the three friends turned around to see the rest of their friends all standing a few feet away from them with shocked expressions and glares.

"Where have you been?!" Biana shouted.

There would be a lot of explaining to do...
