I cannot say this enough: THANK YOU ALL SO SO SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING! ❤️ Also, this is the last part for the Christmas special and I'm pretty sure I'm going to do New Years after this so stay tuned! I love you all! Enjoy 😉

Dex's P.O.V

Dex tried to enjoy himself as his family and friends sang carols and told stories around him. But, he couldn't. When he sipped his hot chocolate it tasted bitter.

And that was saying something! Chocolate never tasted bad!

Dex sighed and blamed it on his bad mood. He looked over to see the beautiful blonde girl of his dreams. She was laughing, and oh how it sounded like music.

Dex then saw that she seemed to be making eye contact with someone. Dex looked to where she was looking and saw that she was looking at Keefe who was puckering his lips and making annoying smooching sounds.

Dex's fists clenched as he couldn't bare to watch anymore.

Of course Keefe was making a move. He was a good looking guy and he had charm. He had everything.

Dex looked over and saw Nick staring at Sophie. He seemed to be a bit mad too that Keefe was flirting with Sophie.

Well, at least Dex wasn't the only one.

But Nick still had a chance. He seemed to be even more perfect than Keefe and Sophie fell for Nick the moment she met him!

How was that possible? What did Nick have that Dex didn't? Was there a trick to have girls fall for you?

Ah! Girls were just too hard to figure out!

Dex's anger turned to sadness. Dex was nothing. He was the weird and nerdy kid. He had no charm and didn't look half as good at Fitz, Nick, Tam or Keefe. No girl wanted a guy like Dex. Sophie was just too good for him. They were just better off as friends.

Dex didn't even have muscles!

Dex made a mental note to start working out.

Dex then thought back to the terrible kiss he had with Sophie. He mentally cringed.

He should've seen it coming. Him and Sophie weren't meant for each other. She even said that she thought the kiss was weird and uncomfortable. If you liked someone, a kiss shouldn't have felt like that. And if Dex had to admit it, he actually didn't feel anything in the kiss either. But he didn't understand. He really liked Sophie. She was beautiful, brave, caring, selfless, and so much more. She may not have felt anything in the kiss but Dex should have.

Dex sighed. He was overthinking this and he was being selfish. He was being a terrible friend and should just let it go. He and Sophie weren't meant to be and he had to accept that.

But why was it so hard to?

At least Sophie was oblivious so she didn't notice how much he was hurting.

He suddenly felt the need for some space and couldn't be in the same room as Sophie for the moment.

He got up and left the room.

And guess what? No one saw that he left so once again he goes unnoticed!

That was another thing. Dex was always forgotten and put aside. Dex got used to it, but it still hurt. A lot.

Dex walked through the huge Vacker house and eventually found some room that lead to a balcony overlooking the lake beside the Vacker house.

Dex walked out and shivered in the cold air. He could freeze to death for all he cared and no one would notice.
