Hey, how was your day? Anything interesting happen?

Everyone stared blankly at Zach who was now uncovered.

A few seconds later, Sophie said, "come again?"

Zach then stood up tall, raised one eyebrow, crossed his arms and said confidently, "I'm Zach—Tam and Linh's older brother."

"WE HAVE AN OLDER BROTHER?" Tam shouted, suddenly.

Mai and Quan smirked as they nodded.

"How? How did we not even know?" Linh asked as everyone's jaw dropped.

Mai cleared her throat. "When I was young, Quan and I had Zach but we were too inexperienced to take care of him. So we put Zach in a foster home and just decided to forget about him. But a couple years later, when we found out about the project Sophie's biological parents made, we decided we needed all the help we could get. So, we decided to take Zach back to have him work with us. It's also how we found Ken and connected with him. He then did the same thing with Nick as we did to Zach."

"Wait...were we alive when this happened?" Linh asked.

Mai nodded. "We already had you and Tam. But we realized that you guys were too useless and innocent at the time and we knew Zach would be more helpful. So we decided to then leave you guys so we can live somewhere else with Zach," she explained.

Tam then laughed darkly. "So...you mean to tell us that you left me and Linh to live on our own just so you could get Zach back to fulfill your evil plans with him EVEN THOUGH YOU ABANDONED HIM?!" Tam questioned.

"Zach...how could you even be okay with this?" Linh asked, disbelief shown on her face.

Zach cleared his throat and brushed the thin jet black strands of his hair away from his eyes. "This is who I'm meant to be and it's for the greater good," his whispery voice said, but with higher volume.

"Do you hear yourself? You sound insane. Are you saying that killing innocent people and torturing them so you can be rich and famous is for the greater good?!" Tam demanded.

An eye roll was Zach's only response.

"I can't even believe you, mom, and dad are even related to us. You make the family look disgusting," Tam spat.

Sophie could totally see the family resemblance.

Sophie couldn't imagine having to live with the fact that your own parents and brother are liars and murderers.

"Eh, we could care less about your opinions. You two are useless," Quan said to Linh and Tam.

"Okay, but if Tam and I are so useless then why were you trying to recruit us?" Linh asked.

Quan pretended to go into deep thought. "Well we thought we sensed potential in you two and you two might change but...I don't think that's happening any time soon. Plus, using Sophie is a better plan now that we know everything about the project."

"I won't ever help you!" Sophie spat.

Quan narrowed his eyes. "I thought we already established that you have no choice."

Sophie bit her lip back as she realized that she really couldn't do anything now.

"So is that a yes? Will you make this easier by coming to us?" Mai asked.

Sophie held back her tears as she clarified, "so if I agree to your terms...you'll leave my family and friends alone?"

"Yes," Mai agreed.

Sophie then looked down next to Quan and noticed that Grady and Keefe were still tied up. "Wait...you must free them too before I come with you."

Quan then rolled his eyes as he untied Grady and Keefe.
