Hey guys! Okayyy so if you didn't know, last night I updated this chapter. For some reason, it deleted and I lost the whole chapter. So I did my best to recreate the same chapter which is this chapter here! I hope you guys like it!!

Also I have two things I wanna say:

1) I GOT GLASSES!!! AAAAHHH!!! It's the first time ever lol. I also got contacts too so yay!!

2) I might change the title of this story. Cause like, when I came up with "OverLooked love" at the time, my story was only going to be romance. But now that there is also mystery, suspense and more, I don't think the title is as relevant. So I'm thinking of changing it to something else like maybe "Hidden."

Like "Hidden" can still represent that love that was hidden the whole time and it can also represent how all the secrets and stuff are hidden. Idk, I'll think about it.

Let me know what you guys think➡️

Anyways, enjoy the chapter!!

"Woah," Sophie breathed as Nick helped her out of the limo that was parked in front of the huge building that Foxfire rented for the Royal Ball.

"It's so big," Nick said as he closed the door behind her, hooking his arm with hers as he started to lead her towards the front entrance.

Sophie then sucked in a big breath as she examined the lobby of the palace-like building. There were hundreds of Foxfire students and the place was so fancy.

Elegant chandeliers decorated the ceiling and a huge red carpet covered the ground. Sophie closed her eyes and breathed in the sweet aroma of the place.

Sophie then looked around and noticed that the rest of the Foxfire students were dressed just as fancy as Sophie was. One girl was even wearing a huge blue dress that made her look like Cinderella.

It was then that Sophie realized that several people were looking her way. Confused, Sophie looked behind her to see what they were looking at but nothing special was happening behind her.

"They're staring at us," Nick whispered in Sophie's ear. Sophie gasped when she realized that he was right.

Right then she wished she could just shrink in her huge red dress and hide there forever. She probably could.

Oh how she loved attention!

"Don't worry, Sophie. You're so gorgeous tonight—just let them stare," Nick said, his eyes locking with hers.

Sophie then blushed and smiled shyly. Right then, something weird shifted in her heart—it felt warm.

Nick then offered his usual warm smile and guided Sophie into the ballroom.

There were so many kids in the ballroom that Sophie could easily get lost. "I wonder where our friends are," Sophie said.

"Check your phone," Nick suggested.

Sophie then pulled her phone from her fancy purse and saw that there were hundreds of texts from Biana. Most of them went along the lines of, "WHERE ARE YOU?! I NEED YOU ASAP! FASHION EMERGENCY!"

Sophie then smiled at how dramatic Biana's texts were.

Sophie then quickly texted an apology, explaining how she hadn't checked her phone in the past couple hours.

"Where are they at?" Nick asked.

"Biana says they are at table 91," Sophie said.

Sophie and Nick then made their way through the hundreds of kids in the ballroom until they eventually found table 91 and immediately rushed over there.
