"Not again," Sophie mumbled to herself as her and her friends stumbled back.

Why were they encountering the Neverseen so much lately?!

"There is no escape now, Sophie," Mai said as she took a step forward and displayed a cruel smirk.

"Weren't you just at your house?!" Tam asked.

Mai then rolled her eyes. "When Linh dropped her tea cup, I knew that she realized that I was her visitor. So when you guys were too busy talking about me on my own driveway, I left the mansion unnoticed."

"I can't believe you guys are apart of the Neverseen," Linh whispered, covering her mouth.

Mai then smirked. "Oh Linh, not only are we Neverseen members. We are the leaders," she said, gesturing to the two hidden figures behind her.

"YOU'RE THE LEADERS?" Sophie shouted.

Mai then nodded. "We were the ones that originally found out about your parents' project. Then we recruited Ken and the others later on. They are useless now."

"Wait so it's only you three left now?" Wylie asked. Mai nodded and Sophie could tell that she was telling the truth.

Okay...only three Neverseen members left.

"Wait—so who are the two figures behind you?" Biana questioned.

"YEAH! SHOW YOURSELVES COWARDS!" Marella shouted, putting up her fists as she got in her defense stance.

Mai then looked to the figure to the left of her. "Quan it's pretty obvious you are with me. Just show yourself."

The left figure then uncovered it's cloak and then revealed a man that looked just like Tam—but older.

Sophie could totally tell it was Tam's dad.

"Of course you're apart of this," Tam bickered at his dad.

"Son, soon you will be too," Quan said.

"I will never join you!" Tam snapped.

"We'll see about that," Quan said, looking at his son skeptically.

"JUST SHUT UP!" Tam yelled.

Sophie felt sick when she just saw that Mai and Quan chuckled. More hate fueled in Sophie when she took another look at Grady and Keefe that we're tied up against each other on the ground with cloths covering their mouths.

"You know, we saw how it turned out with Nick so what makes you think any of us would ever want to even think of joining you guys? You guys just turn on each other—you guys don't even care about your other members that are in prison right now," Fitz pointed out.

Mai then rolled her eyes. "We only turned on Nick and the others because they turned out to be useless."

"Just like you?" Sophie snapped.
