"So, Jake," Rayne murmurs as she walks into Sam's the next morning. "Where's Bella?"
"Sleeping in today," Jacob replies. "The weird Cullen is talking with Charlie to get Bella out of the house for a few days."
"Alice," Rayne says sharply. "The weird one is Alice. And she's smart in doing that. I just hope they don't hurt Charlie."
A howl is heard and Jacob stiffens.
"Wanna ride?" Jacob asks.
The pregnant siren nods and they hurry out back. Jacob phases and he lays down. Rayne climbs onto his back and grips onto Jake's fur as he takes off running.
"Stop!" Rayne screams as she sees the vampire. "That's Quinton!"
"Rayne?" The new vampire, Quinton, gasps. "I... they.... they turned me. I don't... I left...."
"Where are they?" Rayne demands as she slides off Jacob. "The army."
"I... I think they're still in Seattle, preparing," Quinton replies. "Please believe me."
"Sam, I'm bringing him to the Cullens land so Edward can read his mind," Rayne says.
The wolf nods and they stay right at the treaty line as Rayne finds Edward.
"He's being truthful," Edward states. "He left the army." Edward studies Quinton and he smiles. "He wants to join us, the Olympic coven."
"Are you going to take him to Carlisle?" Rayne asks.
"Yes, I am," Edward replies. "The pack's waiting. You should go."
Rayne nods before she returns to the Rez. Paul lays down and Rayne climbs onto his back. She grips onto the omega's fur befofe he stands and runs through the trees. Rayne gets off at Sam and Emily's and she heads inside.
Emily hands her a burger immediately. It's two beef battles with two slices of cheese, bacon, mayo, tomato, and lettuce. Rayne's eyes widen and her mouth drools before she takes a big bite. She moans at the yummy taste, making Emily smile.
"I like that sound," Leah purrs as she enters, wrapping her arms around Rayne, causing Charles to kick. "Hey, Em."
"Hey, Leah," Emily greets. "Burger?"
Leah takes a burger made like Rayne's off the platter Emily had extended. The couple take their burgers. The boys soon come out of the trees and around front in their shorts. Jared hangs Paul an ice cream bar while eating one himself as Leah finishes off her burger, Rayne is still eating on hers.
Bella's truck soon pulls up, the brunette and Jacob get out. Embry's face grows playful as Paul wraps an arm aroind Rayne.
"Glad you're here, Bella," Embry comments and Paul grins in amusement. "Maybe we can get a break from Jake's obsessive inner monologue."
"Wish bella would call," Paul tests teases as he punches at Jacob, laughing.
"Wish Bella wouldn't fall," Jared starts, laughing.
"Maybe I should call Bella," Embry muses, Rayne is watching the boys with amusement in her eyes.
"Maybe I should call Bella and hang up," Quill chimes in, Bella is smiling in embarrassment.
"You get used to them," Rayne muses and she smacks Paul in the back of the head, earning a yelp and a laugh.
"All right," Jacob muses as all the boys crack of laughing hysterically. "You can shut up now."
Leah has a scowl as she goes down the stairs, she's still moody from the change. She's not ever calm when she's around Rayne and the unborn baby but with Bella around...
"Bella, this is Leah Clearwater," Jacob introduces as Leah glares at Bella, wearing a striped shirt Rayne picked out. "Harry's daughter... and Rayne's girlfriend."
"Hey," Bella greets her. "I'm really sorry about your father." She doesn't know what to say about Leah and Rayne, she didn't know Rayne moved on from Rosalie already.
"If you're here to torture Jacob some more, feel free to leave," Leah sneers and she looks at Rayne, adoration in her eyes, and she stalks away.
The guys all roll there eyes as Embry pulls Rayne in between him and Jared, both guys wraps their arms around the siren.
"Fun, isn't she?" Jacob asks.
"Oh, Jake," Rayne smirks. "Leah is a lot of fun."
Paul busts out laughing at those words. "I knew I heard you!"
"Shut up!" Rayne gasps, making Embry chuckle this time.
"Bella! Hi!" Emily coos as she comes outside with Sam. "I was wondering when we'd see your face aroijdb here again." The wolf imprint hugs Bella with a warm smile as Sam stops beside Rayne as Jared leaves her side.
"Yeah, same here," Bella replies as Jacob and Sam have a mini stare off.
"Sam, we good?" Jacob asks.
Sam wraps an arm around Emily as she joins his side. "Yeah. We're good."
