Pushin a stroller with her son in it, Rayne walks down a neighborly street on Florence, Italy. Her aunt, Veronica Rhône, lives in a nice Italian neighborhood hood with a couple neighbors. She and Rayne spoke over the phone; Veronica still used her siren song. She just wonders what her nice whom she has yet to meet is coming to her.Rayne finds the given address and she knocks on the door, hoping her aunt still has her enhanced hearing like she does. The door opens and a stunning ginger stands there. Veronica's hair falls to her lower back and her eyes are a bright green.
"Sei Veronica?" Rayne asks her politely.
"Sì," Veronica replies. "Sei Rayne?"
Rayne nods and Veronica steps aside. Rayne pushes the stroller inside and she picks her son up.
"I was hoping thst me and my vampire family could get some help from you," Rayne claims, jumping straight to the point. "One of my friends got pregnant with a vampire's baby and she looks six or seven years old now, she was born a few weeks ago."
"Your friend... was human?" Veronica asks as the women sit in Veronica's living room.
"Yes," Rayne replies. "She didn't make the delivery, of course. The Volturi think that they turned the child but she was born."
"I will travel back stateside with you first thing in the morning," Veronica responds. "You and the baby can sleep in my guest room. I am making homemade ravioli tonight."
Rayne thanks Veronica as her aunt goes to the kitchen. Rayne pulls out her boob and she begins to feed Charles.
"That is the best way to feed your baby," Veronica chimes as she returns. "It helps build a bond."
....,,,The next morning - Veronica Rhône, Rayne, and Charles all get onto Rayne's private jet that she took to Italy and they head toward the states. Veronica is holding Charles and she is cooing over her great nephew.
They soon arrive to Forks where Veronica is greeted by Carlisle, who she knew when she was a teenager. She always had a crush. The entire coven was welcoming. Rayne was the last to arrive back with her witness, her siren aunt from Itsly.
"How many came?" Carlisle asks his boy as he stands with him, his wife, Bella, Rayne, Veronica... the other vampries van head.
"Nineteen," Edward says. "You have some good friends and your family is reliable."
"Rhône's always stick together," Veronica purrs.
"And Alice?" Esme asls, and Bella shakes her head.
Alice and Jasper left while Rayne was in her private jet on her way to Italy. It made her sad Jasper didn't ya goodbye but she trusts he and Alice had their own reasons.
"Well, we'll all be on Aro's list now," a vampire named Alastair comments. "Centuries on the run, that's what you brought me. Some friend you are Carlisle." Alaistair is nearest to Rayne, near the house.
"Alastair, come meet everyone," Carlisle urges.
"I already told you," Alastair states, "it it comes to a fight, I won't stand agaisnt the Volturi. Two powerful sirens or not."
