(A month later)
August came and went pretty fast, Rayne accepted the fact that she will be twenty in thirteen days. She is at the Cullens now. She and Leah broke up. Leah decided she'd be aunt Leah.
Alice goes into a vision beside Rayne as she holds Charles and her eyes widen. She grabs her phone with her free hands
"Bella?" Alice says into the phone as soon as the human picks up. "Are you all right?"
"I'm not one hundred percent sure," Bella replies honestly and Rayne furrows her eyebrows.
"Why? What's wrong?" Alice asks urgently as Esme takes Charles. "I just..."
"You just what?" Bella asks when Alice stops talking. "Alice, whay did you see?"
"Here's Carlisle," Alice says and hands the phone to the doctor.
"Bella," Carlisle says into the phone, "what's going on?"
"I don't know. I'm a little worried," Bella replies. "Can vampires go into shock?"
"Has Edward been harmed?" Carlisle asks in concern.
"No," Bella replies. "I know that it's impossible but I think I'm pregnant."
The entire house tenses, and Esme carries Charles upstairs so he doesn't feel uneasy and begin to cry.
"Whoa!" Bella says suddenly. "Carlisle, I swear, something just moved inside me."
"Is this even possible?" Edward demands into the phone as he snatches it from his wife.
"I don't know," Carlisle replies honestly. "The sooner Bella's here, the sooner we can find out what it is. I need you to get to the mainland at once."
"Yeah, yeah, I will," Edward replies.
Rayne is pacing the floors, Jasper feels her concern. She had grown close to Bella over the past year. She loves her like a younger sister. Quinton wishes he could comfort his little girl but right now, he can't. He wouldn't know how to.
"They're coming," Carlisle informs his family. "We have to prepare for the worst."
"We might need a siren song to calm the tension," Jasper says honestly.
"Take a try at the piano," Carlisle pleads.
Rayne inhales and she sits at Edward's piano. She sings Breath (2AM) by Anna Nalick while playing the piano. Almost as soon as Rayne's voice fills the house, the tension slowly dies down. Rayne doesn't stop, she just plays.
Jasper bows his head as he listens to her sing. She is the second siren he has listened to since he was turned, she last one was Amelia Spears, Rayne's mother. He heard her when she was a teenager, before Rayne was even thought of. Amelia knee what he was and Jasper knew what she was.
Rayne's brain is filled with worrying thoughts of Bella. The worst case scenarios keep playing over and over, her mind is wanting to break her. But on account to having a barely two month old son, Rayne cannot allow that to happen.
She's got to stay strong for Charles, and for herself. That's how the day ends. Listening to the siren's song, calming the house before the storm.
