"Tenshi, the children are all excited to learn new taijutsu, don't keep them waiting" I bowed to Asuna, one of the consultants of this village, she was one of the first few to come together to join this small settlement, it was only fair that her opinion was taking into consideration over every decision that needed to be made. I made my way out of the home I now lived in, getting loud cheers from the village children as they raced towards me with their arms out.
"okay okay, let's begin, shall we?" I asked, laughing along with them as they called me a snail. They ran to their usual places of being in rows of two, I stood in front of them and did each movement slowly, showing them all how to do the set of moves. as an hour passed, I smiled gently as I watched the children do the four step routine on how to properly take down an opponent, I looked to the side at Asuna who came to watch, a soft smile on her face as her hand rested in front of her face.
"they all seem to enjoy these lessons, we can't thank you enough for stepping up" Daisuke voiced, walking up with his brother, Mitsu, who was watching the children practice. I merely shook my head at his words, I did what anyone else would have, I stepped up, I became their protector, as I always will be until i ultimately die doing what I love, protecting.
"I just hope they never have to use these lessons" I mentioned, I knew very well of possibilities of where they'll need to fight and I hated those possibilities with a passion, heck, I hoped no one of this village had to fight, man, woman or child.
"Tenshi-sensei, when do we get to learn how to do super awesome jutsu!" One of the boys whined out, the others all agreeing and running up to me with wide eyes and hopeful expressions. I pursed my lips in thought. wondering when it would be a good time to even introduce jutsu into their training, they were only five or six, I was Chunin by their age, but I didn't want them to go down the same path I took...
"when all of you can throw a kunai and shurikan and hit the bullseye three times" I answered simply. Nodding at my answer, I knew they wouldn't be hitting the bullseye anytime soon, they've never even held a kunai before, let alone know how to throw it without hurting someone or themselves.
"aww! no fair!"
"come on, it's time for your regular English class" Ren ushered them away, getting them all to whine and complain about training being over until next week. I chuckled at their actions and snorted as Asuna tried to do the same set of moves they were and ended up tripping on her dress, I shook my head and extended a hand, pulling her up.
"you're a lot stronger than you look, Tenshi. why I wouldn't be surprised if you told me you were a prodigy" I snorted, shrugging my shoulders at her words. I didn't know if I was or not, no one told me if I was, I just practised a lot until I got things, so I wouldn't know if that's what a prodigy is or if I'm just a nerd.
"maybe, who's to say"
