I didn't know how to react, I didn't know how to possibly even register what was happening. I barely knew how to think, when Asuna and Kimeko pulled me out of the house my mind went blank as I was passed over to Gaara. he had wrapped my arm around his and began to walk towards the back gates of the village that not many knew about since it was covered by thick leaves and bushes, you had to walk past the crops to find it, when we exited through the gates, the blankness in my mind heightened.

"You look different" I turned my head slightly towards him by his words, I didn't know whether to take that as a compliment or not, either way I don't think I would mind the insult seeing as I had never experienced either reaction before. Gaara wasn't in his usual ninja hear either, he looked more relaxed than usual as well.

"you look different as well" I replied softly, my stomach beginning to churn with unease of the situation. I didn't know what to do, didn't know what was going to happen or what to expect.

we were lulled into a comfortable silence, the sound of the grass moving as we walked through it the only thing heard around us. we seemed to walk for only a few minutes before we came to an area covered in shrubbery, as we walked through the small walking space I noticed the ground changed from dirt to sand as we found ourselves standing in front of a short waterfall that had a small stone water front, almost like a swimming area that hadn't be used in year but well kept.

"I wasn't sure where you'd like to go so I thought of here"

"I never considered you to like water, seeing as water makes sand useless to use, unless you're making sandcastles on the beach"

"water can be healing...some times"

"water can only do so much, when the wounds are inside"

"what does it feel like to be loved?" I paused, turning towards him slightly to see him staring at the waterfall, his eyes seemed to reflect the water, almost making the water seem more blue than it really was.

"warm.. gentle.. relaxed..knowing that someone out there will always believe in you no matter what you do"

"I feel that with you..I know you don't love me, but when I'm with you, i feel like if anything went wrong I could turn to you. Maybe, it's because.. you never seemed afraid of me, even when you were a Leaf Shinobi"

"I was taught to never be afraid of another person, that everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses, their own lives and families. being afraid, would only create war." I sighed softly, smiling gently at the memory.

"wise words, from a wise man"

"yeah, but I will admit, he was kinda silly"

"How so?" I chuckled at his question.

"when I disappeared from his sight, he always panicked, afraid he would never be able to find me again. after a few times of that happening he learned to keep my hand in his so I wouldn't wander off, he was always quick to worry, some times he would worry before anything happened."

"he sounds like a good father"

"he was"
