a steady beating was the first thing I heard as I began to become aware of my surroundings, my eyes flickered around, feeling heavy as I tried to pry them open, I moved my head from left to right as I felt a mask placed onto my mouth and nose, murmuring nothing in particular I used all the strength I had in pushing my eyelids open so I could see. light immediately hitting me in the face causing me to flinch and want to close my eyes once more, I looked around the room to see I was in a sandy colored room.

"any news on her?" a familiar voice entered my ears, I raised a heavy hand shakily towards my face, gripping onto the mask I weakly lifted it up off of my face. taking on deep breaths as the air changed from a nice cooled temperature to be that of sun warmed oxygen, I groaned in pain, bringing my hand down to press against my abdomen, feeling a harsh stab of white pain go through my body like a snake slithering across the ground.

"Kazekage-sama, like I said the last time we spoke, there isn't any sign of her waking any-"

"but she's stronger than the average person!"

"Kazekage-sama calm down, I didn't say she wasn't strong, I'm going by what her chart says. she sustained a lot of injuries, some she may have never heal from, you must understand that I'm only doing what's best for the patient."

"Ga...Gaa...ra?" I wheezed out, coughing silently as my throat lit up in internal flames. I swallowed thickly, flinching in pain. I watched the door of the room open quickly and the sight of red hair filled my vision, I lifted the side of my lips up slightly, only to flinch in pain as it moved the muscles in my neck, causing a shiver of pain to work its way down my spine.

"Tenshi I-...thank god you're okay" I blinked in response, finding smiling and talking to be a one way trip for pain. I weakly lifted a hand towards him, losing strength half way and began to prepare for the pain of my elbow hitting the banisters of the bed only for my hand to be caught by Gaara's and brought closer to him as if my hand was a priceless gem, I straightened my fingers the best I could and rested my fingertips on his cheek, the only movement that seemed to not give pain.

"The man who took you was take into custody at The Leaf, everyone else was either killed or not apart of your attack...you've been unconscious for a week" I let my head fall to the side, as a sign that I was listening to him even if I couldn't respond vocally to his words.

he's dead...gone...

"c...cl...an" I forced out, breathing heavily as the word squeezed out of my mouth.

"Akibara Clan, some of them took you, we don't know why-"

"my...c...cl..an" his eyes widened as he finally understood, his grip on my hand tightened and all I could do was feel my body become numb once more as my vision turned black.
