I pursed my lips in thought as I stared at the paper in my hand, my other hand held my cheek as my elbow was propped up on the table. I squinted at it, as of it was about to change the words, it didn't and I groaned. we were running low on basic things like blankets and clothes, along with weapons and things that children normally play with like bears and crayons. we were needing to go on another stock up trip but it was difficult deciding who was to do it.
"you seem busy this morning and it's only early" I looked up instantly to see Asuna, I blew out air at her words getting a laugh in response, she came and sat in front of me, pulling the piece of paper out of my hand which from that I let my hand fall to the table top lifelessly as I raised my eyes to watch her expression turn into her usual thinking one.
"why don't you make the trip? the four of us can handle the village for a couple of days and you're a trained shinobi, you'd be able to seal the items into scrolls for easy carrying" I blinked at her words, thinking about them.
"I guess I could, the nearest Village is the Leaf, which I won't be heading to for obvious reasons" I voiced. Bringing out the map of the nations, looking it over with Asuna.
"Why not go to Sunagakura? it's only a day or two more of a trip than Konoha and you get to go past the Hidden Valley, it's such a beautiful place" I rolled my eyes at her extra comment at the end. bringing a hand to my lips I nodded slowly.
"I can do that, but, I want to take Kaida with me" I spoke up.
"huh, Kaida? Himeko's daughter?" I nodded.
"she's able to hit a bullseye with a kunai and has a vast intellect"
"well, I'll inform Himeko for you and get her approval, in the meantime, you should get ready for the trip" I nodded, standing from the table just as she did.
"also, could you inform Himeko that Kaida is already here? she was training by herself all night, we'll leave when she wakes up" Asuma nodded and left through the front door. I snorted as I heard her stumble on the front step, walking back upstairs and into the spare room.
I changed from the clothes I was in, getting into black leggings and a black long sleeve, wrapping bandages around my ankles to knee and elbows and wrist, adding metal plates over them before the black sandles. I went to the small cupboard in the room and opened the doors, I stared at the white jacket with green on the sides of the sleeves, I shook my head and picked up the white sleeveless qipao dress that had a purple outline with a purple quarter moon on the back. it exposed the naval area if the black sleeved top wasn't on and fell to just above my knees.
I brought my growing hair at the rib length up into a bun, securing it into a bun and wrapping the purple ribbon with black on the edges around it, tying it into a bow and letting the long strands hang down, pushing two senbon into it to create an 'X' shape, leaving my fringe and a some hair that framed my face out. I brushed down my outfit and picked up the black headband, no metal plate, tying in around my forehead as I used to and began to attach my weapon pouch and tanto holster on my back.
I won't let anything happen to Kaida, that's a promise.
