Kaida POV
I swallowed thickly as we pressed together tightly, I grabbed Hana's hand feeling her breathing begin to get more shallow and loud, she turned towards me, I nodded in encouragement. Akito was staring through the bushes around us, looking around. I gritted my teeth, letting go of Hana as my hands began to shake with nerves. who was out there? were they rogues? what are they going to do if they find us?
"Come on Gwen, if you keep making noise like that travellers are gonna hear us and turn around!" a shiver went down our spines as the voice seemed to speak from a close distance, Akito's arm reached into his weapon pouch, pulling out a kunai and holding it tightly in his hand, I turned to him, he sent a hidden message through his eyes and I bit my lip, pulling out a kunai myself.
I always hit my mark, I never missed, would I be able to hit my mark if they were another person?
"let loose, Hibo. if they did turn around we'd still see them and be able to take them out before they got too far, relax"
"are you insane, Gwen. We're too close to that new village, if word gets out we've been taking out all the travelers and defected shinobi that wanna go there for a new start, we'll be targets of the leader" we shared a look. they were the ones causing our lack of new visitors?
"who even is the leader of that village, I bet it's some old dude" a somewhat scratchy voice spoke up.
"you don't know? it's the White Dragon"

"you don't really believe that, do you? The White Dragon was said to be a myth, no one has any evidence that she actually exists out of the stories our parents told us when we were kids"
"wouldn't it be so cool to get to see The White Dragon in person? we should have sought refuge there sooner"

"that's no true!" my jaw fell open as Hana stood up and spoke, I brought a hand to my forehead, pressing it against it in disdain.
"Hana, what the heck" Akito hissed quietly.
"who's there!?" I tried to pull her arm to hide once more, but she stepped out of the bushes, throwing me off. I huffed and watched in silence, as well as fear, as eight large rogues jumped down in front of her.
"who's the brat?"
"our leader would let you guys in! She lets everyone in" Hana shouted, pointing at them.
"what do we do?!" Akito hissed.
"I don't know!"
