"Tenshi, there's a boy here for you" I raised my head from staring at the map in confusion, looking over at the door I saw Asuna, behind her, Gaara. I nodded and motioned for them both to come in, which they did, Asuna taking her usual place at the table when having meetings, Gaara took the seat at the end of the table, opposite to me.
"I trust we were easy to locate?"
"very, your maping skills are indeed direct" Gaara had replied, Asuna began to pick up the scrolls that were on the table, organising them and putting them away from safe keeping, as she usually did when she found my table a mess with paperwork.
"my siblings and I decided to come help in the village relocation, three squads have also joined. of course, this is only a formality" I nodded, understanding. I could sense Kankurou and Temari waiting outside, along with the familiar signatures of Sand Shinobi around the village.
"I wouldn't expect anything less, Kazekage-san" Asuna dropped a scroll at that comment.
"you're the Kazekage?" Gaara nodded at Asuna's words, her jaw dropped, before letting her body fall back into her chair. I raised an eyebrow in confusion, only to furrow them when she leaned over and pointed at me.
"you should make this alliance permanent and marry" I squinted at her words, shaking my head.
"please excuse Asuna, she's a sucker for all things romance, it's best not to listen to her half the time" I voiced, getting Asuna to cross her arms and stick her tongue out at me like Kaida always did.
"Temari is the same, she had said the same when you left the village"
"Tenshi-sensei, who's that?" My head snapped to the side, I spotted Loki standing there, another child of the village, holding his usual brown bear and staring up at Gaara with wide blue eyes.
"he's the Kazekage of The Sand, Loki" I answered, Loki looked from Gaara to me, before turning back to him.
"whoa that's so cool, you must be super strong!" Gaara smiled, it was small and barely visible, but Loki noticed before he grinned up at him.
"oh yeah, Tenshi-sensei, did you know Daisuke is arguing with some man outside? I came in tell you" I blinked in surprise, excusing myself from the table.
"take me to Daisuke, he's probably arguing with someone from The Sand" Loki nodded and began to run out of the door, I walked behind him, following his form as he ran to the north side of the village. I shook my head and hurried my pace, flash stepping to Loki and jumping up onto one of the houses roof as a piece of wood came flying out of the small space between two houses.
"that was so cool!"
"stay behind me, okay?" I told Loki, who nodded. I jumped back down with him, pulling him behind me and walked into the light of the space between the houses. I crossed my arms at the sight, Daisuke had one of the Sand Shinobi that was here to help on the ground in a choke hold.
"what is the meaning of this?" I snapped. Daisuke's head shot up, his grip loosening and letting the Shinobi fall to the ground unconscious.
"suspicious activity?" I let my face turn into a glare.
"he was sent here, along with the others of The Sand, to help relocate the village" Daisuke's eyes widened, he stood up without hesitation.
"how was I meant to know that?"
"we received a messenger hawk last night saying they were to arrive today, you were the one who read it out to the group. I don't want any excuses, you've harmed an ally just as a rogue would do. is this the sort of behavior you want the others coming to know? attack now, ask questions later? this is no way to show gratitude to The Kazekage for giving us aid"
