"You're sixteen, go have some fun for once" Ren urged, ushering me out of my office chair. I tilted my head in confusion, since when did Ren mind my over load of working?
"seventeen" I corrected softly, I felt her hands on my back stop pushing me towards the doors, I turned around to face her, seeing her eyes wider than usual, I blinked, not understanding anything that was happening today.
"we missed your birthday.." I shrugged uncaringly, it wasn't like I celebrated it after Mina-otou died, when he stopped being here I lost all form of happiness for the day, I missed it, I really did, but I missed him more. if he was still alive, he would give me a lecture about having fun just like Asuna does, but I didn't find anything on this land fun anymore.
"I don't celebrate it anymore, it's not your fault. are you ever going to tell me why you're wanting me to not work today?"
"Orders from Kazekage-sama" I huffed, of course it was Gaara who put them up to this. I rolled my eyes and walked towards the large double doors, heading out into the hall without Ren knowing she was to be acting as leader while I was gone for the day. I sighed deeply as I headed down the winding stairs, stepping out onto the path at the bottom.
"Tenshi-sama!" my hand was pulled and I was soon being dragged by a giggling Mikoto, I followed along confused as she brought me to my house. the door opened and Asuna appeared, bringing me inside to see Kimeko, Kaida's mother, who ushered me upstairs the both of them following closely.
I was pushed into my bedroom and told to dress in the clothes laid out after freshening up, I pursed my lips and went to take a shower like told. Once out, I found myself staring at the clothes that I was given, as I pulled it over my form, I let it sit upon my form without much thought, the door opened and Asuna entered, zipping up the back before pulling me down stairs where Kimeko pulled up my hair.
"what...is this for?" I was absolutely confused, why was I told to wear a kimono? was it even considered a kimono at this length? Asuna pulled a red belt around my midsection before pulling a peach coloured cloak over my shoulders that had a hood, I blinked, while the outfit was..nice.. they didn't say what it was for!
"Kazekage-sama will be here soon, so don't mess up your hair!"
"why is he coming?" I wondered.
"well silly, you're going on a date! isn't that exciting?" I deadpanned.
"Asuna-"
"I'm only following orders, Tenshi, don't blame me" I huffed.
what even is a date...
why am I getting dressed up for it? is it something special?
