The elevator doors opened to reveal President Jeon standing next to Manager Park. Manager Park gave a signal to Ji Eun to get out of the lift that instant and that was exactly what she did. Ji Eun bowed 90 degrees before proceeding to her desk

"Secretary Lee, I'm going for a meeting," President Jeon said

"Oh, have a good meeting sir," 

"I said, I'm going for a MEETING.," he said stressing on the meeting while looking at her

Wait. He's going for a meeting. That means she should be going for it too! Why was she so clumsy? 

"I'm coming, President Jeon, let me get my notebook and --" 

"Too late. 10th floor if you will. Take the next elevator," he said and waved at her as the lift shut in front of her face.

She blew a piece of hair that was sticking on her forehead. Talk about rude. Ji Eun got on the next lift and pushed the number 10 on the panel. It was descending slowly. 

'Can this lift move any slower?'

Just as she said that the lights in the lift began flickering and before she knew it, the lift stopped moving altogether. Ji Eun rapidly began pressing all the buttons in the lift hoping it would move again but to no avail. She pressed the emergency button 

"Hello? I'm stuck here! The lift isn't moving! Can anyone hear me?" Ji Eun yelled. Four walls. Tiny spaces. She couldn't escape. This was not good for someone with claustrophobia.  

Her phone suddenly rang and a voice yelled out 

"SECRETARY LEE DO I HAVE TO WAIT FOREVER?"  

"I'm stuck in the elevator, please hel--. HELLO? HELLO? PRESIDENT JEON?" the line went static. Ji Eun slid down the walls of the lift and sat down hugging her knees to her chest. This was not a good day after all. She had an amazing breakfast, got driven by a driver in a Porshe to work but now she was stuck in a lift. She tried not to move. She heard a knocking sound from out of the lift

"I'M IN HERE!" Ji Eun yelled out

"I know. Don't panic. The maintenance workers are on their way," a soothing voice replied. It was Jungkook. Who knew he had such a voice? All she ever heard was his strict, mean voice but now he sounded angelic.

"You weren't late for the meeting after all. The lift got stuck in between the 10th and 11th floor. Don't move. I'm not sure if the lift brakes will hold it in place. Did you perhaps ate 10 bowls of rice this morning?"

Ji Eun laughed "Hey, I don't eat that much!"

"You can stand up slowly now, the maintenance workers are nearing," he said

Ji Eun stood up slowly only to feel a shift in the air. That was the worst idea Jungkook gave her because as soon as she stood up. The lift breaks started to sound. One string cut, Two string cut. Someone or something was allowing the string of the breaks to becoming loose

"President Jeon, I think the brake strings are loose! I can hear it loosening! Get me out of here now!" Ji Eun began pounding the door frantically.

"Yah! Hurry up! She said the strings are loosening," Jungkook was yelling at someone

Three string cut, Fourth string

"LEE JI EUN!"

The lift went into a free fall. Ji Eun's heart dropped to her stomach. The glass from the top of the lift crashed down on her. She lifted her hands to protect her head and prayed. The glass pierced through her exposed legs and blood started to drip. I can't die. I shouldn't die. It fell through the 9th floor, 8th floor,7th floor,6th floor but suddenly it stopped. 

"Give me your hand," there was a voice calling from her right side. It was Jungkook and he was in a panic. There was only enough space to slide through and the lift sounded like it was about to drop again any second 

"NOW!"Ji Eun grabbed his hand and was pulled up through the slit by Jungkook as the lift dropped and finally crashed on the ground floor. Ji Eun looked at Jungkook who was looking down at her

"Are you okay?" he asked calmly

Ji Eun looked at him and suddenly felt the world go black as she fell into his arms.

"Lee Ji Eun? Can you hear me? Secretary Lee? Get the ambulance!" that was the last thing she heard before she fell into a slumber

"Failed,"

"Sir, I'm sorry. Please give me another chance!" 

"Failure is the product of mistakes and I can't afford to have mistakes,"  

"Please don't ---"

BANG BANG

Two shots of the pistol were enough to silence the begging man.  

He watched as the girl was rolled into the ambulance followed by the President.

"This will be fun,"
