The Accident

Can you see me?

The parking lot was dim and quiet. There weren't many cars left and most of the employees headed home 2 hours ago. The light  VROOM of the engine from a shiny black Mercedes could be seen hiding in the dark. The drivers in the car seemed to be waiting for their special guest to arrive any moment now.

"Seriously, why can't he just tell me, he's making me curious day by day!" Ji Eun mumbled to herself while walking to her car unlocking it before getting in and slamming the door behind her.

She was fuming with anger and a mix of confusion. 

"ARGH SERIOUSLY!" She placed her head on her steering wheel , a beam of light briefly shined at her before disappearing all at once. She sat up and looked to her right and left and noticed she was the only one in the parking lot.  That caught her attention and she began to slowly reverse her car before exiting the parking lot.

Ji Eun noticed that it was raining but very lightly and decided it was best she drove slowly to avoid and accidents.

"According to the weather forecast, there will be heavy storms and thunders . Strong winds are to be expected as well and it is advised to head back home to take shelter before the rain gets heavier. Next on KBS News, " 

A beam flashed again and this time Ji Eun noticed it in the rear view mirror and decided to switch lanes. She thought it was because she was going to slow in the fast lane. 

However, the beam flashed again and this time the car behind her was picking up its pace and coming closer to her. Anxious, she picked up the pace and pressed her petrol a little bit higher and looked in the rear view mirror again. 

The black car was still on her tail and it was obvious that the car was following her.

Ji Eun out of panic dialled the last person she talked to, Jungkook.

"Hello? What is it?" Jungkook's annoyed  voice could be heard on the other line

"Someone is following me! I think someone is following me!" Ji Eun said anxiously while pressing her petrol higher now. She was going 80 miles per hour which was pretty fast on a rainy day but the car behind her seemed to be going even faster than her. They were so close she could hear the light hum of their engine.

"What are you talking about Secretary Kim, have you lost your mind ?" Jungkook replied obviously unbothered.

Ji Eun took a sharp right hoping to lose them but they followed her actions as well.

"I'm serious!" Ji Eun yelled 

WXY 123 was the number plate that could be seen very clearly due to how close it was to her.

Her speed continued to increase and she was now driving at a range of 90 miles per hour. 

"Sure, and I'm the presidents son. Look, I'm not your friend to be playing these funny games with so I'm going to hang up now if you will let me," Jungkook said

"Wait, please!"

With the speed she was going, she couldn't slow down and neither could she avoid it. Her car skidded as it hit a tremendous amount of water 

"AHHH HELP," She yelled

"Where are you? YA! LEE JI EUN?" Jungkook's voice could be heard yelling through her phone

Ji Eun's car skidded  before hitting a nearby tree.

Suddenly, all the noise became silent. The night was...peaceful and cold. 

Ji Eun's head rested on her steering wheel while blood slowly seeped out from her forehead. She couldn't move. It was too much pain for her to handle. 

"LEE JI EUN? WHERE ARE YOU? ANSWER ME!" Jungkook was still yelling

"Help..me...," 

The black Mercedes stopped and a man with a tight black suit stepped out the car and walked slowly towards the car that was under the large tree.

He opened the passenger seat and took the mobile phone that was on it

"Hello? Hello?"

He threw the phone onto the hard ground before stomping on it with his leather shoes.

Silence

That was all there was left of in that cold , stormy night.
