It was stuffy and hot, very very hot.  The oxygen level was dangerously low. The smell of brand new shoes but stinky socks filled the atmosphere and a sticky puddle of redness slowly turned dark.

'My head fucking hurts. Where am I?' Ji Eun thought as she wiggled around but her hands and feet were both bounded by a metal strip. The blood pool was hers, still fresh from the accident. Her head was a complete disaster, especially after the high impact of the car accident that happened several hours ago.

Ji Eun closed her eyes and counted to 3

"1....2.....3" She whispered hoping to wake up from her dream, a very claustrophobic one.

She opened her eyes to pure darkness. Nope, not a dream. It was the painful reality. Her eyes were free to roam in the darkness but her mouth was stuffed with a cloth that had streaks of dried blood.

RING RING RING RING

Her phone. She was sure because of that weird ringtone she set it to. She screamed into her cloth only to be heard by no one.

The car hit a bump and Ji Eun hit her head hard. Once again she went into an unconscious state of mind.

FLASHBACK

"Ji Eun ah, don't come back so late okay? Just go to the nearby shop, get omma a mushroom and hurry back!" Her mom yelled waving off 4 year old Ji Eun.

"mushroom, mushroom, mushroom, mushroom!" Ji Eun hummed as she walked to the nearby shop. When I say nearby, i meant really near like walk 10 steps and you're there.

"Ahjumma! I want 5 pieces of mushroom!" Ji Eun said and held up her fingers, indicating 5

"Arrasso! Are you here alone?"

"Yup! It's my first errand!" Ji Eun said proudly and handed over the money

"Daebak! Good job!" The lady said as she handed Ji Eun a bag of mushrooms.

"annyeonghi kaseyeo (bye)," Ji Eun yelled and walked out the shop.

It was around 4 p.m. and the skies were getting dark and started a very light drizzle.

"Hey, kid!" A man called from behind her holding an umbrella , "Yeah, you. Why don't you come here. It's raining! I'll bring you home. Where's your house?"

Ji Eun contemplated. Omma said not to talk to strangers but it was raining and omma said to always ask for help.

Ji Eun walked towards the man and pointed in a direction.

He nodded, looked left and right. There weren't many people cause of the rain.

He grabbed her hand forcefully and began to drag her to the back alley

"YAAAA LET ME GO!" She yelled and bit his hand hard

"ARGH!" He yelled and let her go for a quick second which she took as an opportunity to run

Ji Eun ran to the main road before she was grabbed again and pulled into a corner but not by the same guy.

"Let me go!" but the man closed her mouth.

"Shhhh!" He whispered and peeked out of the corner.

They both saw the man walking around in the rain, angry. He yelled before walking the opposite direction, back to a car.

Ji Eun squinted, WXY 123.

The man let go off Ji Eun before bending down to her eye level.

"Ya, kid. Where's your house?" He asked, his eyes weren't showing and was covered by a cap in the now, heavy rain.

Ji Eun pointed to her house which was near

He reached for her hand, which she took and he walked her to her house

"Wait!"

He turned around and Ji Eun gave him a strand of rope. A bracelet.

"Thank you!" She smiled , she could've sworn he smiled back too but she wouldn't know because his eyes was covered by that cap.

"OMMA!!" She ran into her house

The angry man. He didn't leave. He was there behind the wall, watching the scene unfold.

"Wait for me. I'll come,"

The car came to a halt and the trunk was opened. Ji Eun was half awake now.

"Morning sunshine," A voice came out, the man was holding an umbrella.

"Didn't I promise, I'll come," He said and removed his hood smiling.

He pulled her out of the trunk and forced her to walk when he knew, he knew her right leg was broken.

Ji Eun stared at him, this idiot was the one behind her car. She glanced down at the number plate and saw it
