보고싶다.

Her eyes fluttered open only to see the white ceiling above her. Her head felt heavy and painful like it was just hit with a ton of bricks. 

Where am I? 

Ji Eun carefully sat up on the bed and felt a prickly sensation on her hand. She looked down to see a needle inserted to provide liquids and nutrients in it. Then she came to her senses. She was at a hospital but she had no recollection how she got here in the first place. 

"Awake?" a voice spoke from the dark

"Who are you?Jungkook?" Ji Eun asked while trying to take a quick peek on who that man was. She couldn't make out his face as it was covered by the dark and his mask.

"Jungkook? Wrong answer," He said to her while stepping out of the shadows 

Ji Eun looked at him closely. That wasn't Jungkook.

He was wearing a black mask covering half his face. His eyes were piercing black as if it had been tattooed on the inside. He was a man of short stature, unlike Jungkook who was tall. He walked over to the armchair that was opposite her bed and sat down. The mysterious man started to tap on the armchair as if awaiting more questions.

"Who...are you?" Ji Eun asked, her voice slightly cracked as she shifted over to the side of the bed trying to find the nurse button.

"Ah, you don't recognize me, kid? I thought I left a pretty good mark on you," the man said and chuckled.

"How are you?"

"I'm okay but --"

"Exactly! How are you okay? Shouldn't that elevator accident caused your death?"  He asked 

"How did you--"

"Know?" he was now approaching her slowly and bent down so they were on the same eye level. "I caused it. You are the side dish to the main meal that I am looking forward to. You're the desert, you're sweet,". he brought his hand and slowly stroked her hair over and over again

"Main meal?"

"Your boss honey. The main meal that I have been dying to get my hands onto,"

Ji Eun started to sweat. Her hands were trembling and fidgetting still trying to find the nurse call button

"The only problem is sweet people don't live long in a world full of devils," He placed his hand on her neck and started to squeeze it while staring into her eyes

Ji Eun started gasping for air and with one hand tried to pry his hand off of her neck but he was too strong. She could feel the tears started to swell up in her eyes. She was now desperate. Desperate to live. His grip on her neck grew tighter and tighter until she could almost see stars. 

CLICK CLACK CLICK CLACK

Both the man and Ji Eun looked at the door. Someone was coming. 

"I'll see you next time, Ji Eun," he smiled and disappeared through the window

Ji Eun finally caught her breath and gasped loudly trying with all her might to gather more and more air into her lungs.

"You okay?" Ji Eun looked up to see Jungkook who opened her door and was looking at her 

"I'm...f..i..ne," She managed to say

Jungkook came closer to her and sat on the chair.

"I bought some chicken. I didn't know what you would like but its raining outside and chicken and soju sounds like a good combo to me," he grinned at her

"T...hanks," she slowly was going back to her normal state

Ji Eun stared outside the window as the rain poured. Who was that man? 

"Chicken?" Jungkook said pulling her back from her dazed state

 President J--"

Jungkook looked at her raising an eyebrow

"I mean Jungkook," she said and reached for the piece of chicken that Jungkook placed in front of her

"What?"

"Chicken and soju are a good combo,"

Jungkook chuckled and nodded.

They both ate in silence

"I brought you here. You passed out and you lost a bit of blood from the accident," Jungkook said breaking the silence (BREAKING THE SILENCE) 

"Oh, thank you!" Ji Eun said 

"It's weird. The maintenance crew checked and said that it was a normal accident. They said someone must have purposely cut the wires," 

Ji Eun stopped eating.

So the man was right

He was out to get her, whoever he was and he won't stop there

He wants Jungkook not her

Ji Eun stared at her mean and cold boss as he devoured the chicken and was now pouring soju into a cup. She has to warn him. She has to protect him.

Would he believe her?
