Second Encounter

Would you like you if you met you?

The day passed by soon enough and by the time Ji Eun finished her work to look up at the clock she realised it was already 6 P.M.
Work ended an hour ago
She stretched her hands and was packing up when she spotted the blue file sticking out in between her notebook.
It was another contract that Jungkook had asked her to pass to Manager Park.

"Lucky I saw this! If I hadn't, I'm sure I'd get fired on the spot," She said as she quickly packed it into her bag and got into the lift.

She pressed the button to the managerial floor hoping he was still at work. As soon as she entered the lift she started inhaling and exhaling slowly to calm herself. She felt her fingers, bare.
It was held before by Jungkook and it was a shocking thing to say it but she missed the warmth that she felt even if it was just for a few minutes.
The lift doors finally opened snapping her out of her thoughts.

It was just like she thought. Most people had left the office and it was pitch dark except for the light in Manager Park's room.
Maybe he hadn't gone back yet?

She tried peeking through the glass mirrors but only saw a head looking down. Probably busy typing up some things for the meeting. She had heard manager Park was a respectable man.
She knocked on the door and heard a grunt of response so she took that as a sign to come in.

"Good Evening Manager Park, I'm so sorry to disturb your evening but I really needed to submit this file that President Jeon asked! Manager Park? Are you bu—," Ji Eun looked up from the files and saw a familiar face staring at her.

He wasn't Manager Park.
This was 

"Kim Soo Hyuk,"  Ji Eun said unconsciously

"So you figured out my name? How long has it been? 20 years since we last met?" He asked now standing up and walking over to the armchair that was in the centre of the office before sitting down with a thud.

Ji Eun slowly started backing away until she could feel the door handle. She slowly pushed it down as quiet as she could when the silence was broken.

"Did he find you or did you find him?"

Ji Eun paused. 

Him? 

Is he talking about Jungkook? 

"What do you mean?"

Kim Soo Hyuk started laughing maniacally before pulling his lips into a straight line.

"The boy that was kidnapped with you. Did you find him or did he find you?"

"The.re... wa-s... no one..with me," Ji Eun stuttered 

Kim Soo Hyuk leaned his back into the couch looking rather amused.

"You don't remember?" 

Ji Eun started racking her brains and tried to find a piece of her memory that was connected to the kidnapping. She closed her eyes.

The bracelet.

She looked down at her own bracelet. She remembered. She had two so where did the other one go?

"So you do remember? The bracelet love story. It was really stupid for me to assume you two were siblings. The bracelet made it looked like you were twins but one was rich and one was a poor rat. One was rescued and the other was left behind. A sad story isn't it?"

"What do you mean left behind?"

Kim Soo Hyuk stood up and edged the window that Ji Eun now noticed was open wide enough for a human to fall through it.

"The reason you can't remember the boy was because he was rescued. You were not. Pity you were caught in this mess. You have yourself to blame and well the bracelet,"

CLICK CLACK CLICK CLACK

"We'll meet again," 

Kim Soo Hyuk disappeared out the window and Ji Eun left the office in such a hurry that she bumped into Manager Park.

"Secretary Kim?"

Ji Eun bowed apologizing profusely.

"I'm sorry! I just left the file at your desk. President Jeon asked me to," 

"Alright then. Are you okay? You look quite pale,"

Ji Eun remembered something one of the colleagues had told her. President Jeon was kidnapped before and even though she didn't know by who she could still try to ask Manager Park if he knew anything about it.

"Do you know President Jeon on personal terms?"

Manager Park seemed quick shocked with the question but responded anyway.

"Yes, I do. I knew him since he was a very young boy," He smiled 

"Which means you knew about the kidnapping? Is it true?"

Manager Park's smile dropped

"I'm very busy now. I'm sorry," He said and walked past Ji Eun heading to his office

President Jeon was kidnapped. 

She felt like there was something connected with her and Jungkook but she didn't know what.
