The Sick Past

How did Tae Oh's father died? Natural death? How funny.

It was a dark and gloomy day at the law firm and almost everyone had left the office to go drinking soju with their colleagues after a hard days work . Everyone but Shin, the head of the criminal law firm. He was busy going over the pending cases and one case in particular that he was investigating rather closely was the 'Kidnapping of a 4-year-old' case. She was found with bruises and in an unconscious state in an abandoned place. The law firm takes child cases very seriously.

The case file read in big bold letters the name of the child : Lee Ji Eun , 4 years old, admitted in Seoul Hospital . When the forensics did a full sweep of the area, they found another blood pool which placed Kim Soo Hyuk behind bars if both the jury and judges agree to it.

There was another unknown blood pool that was just sent to his office this morning and he had to wait for the blood results before identifying their other victim . That was funny, the news only mentioned one.

As the rain poured harder and faster out of the tall building , there was three loud raps coming from Shin's door .

"Come in," he called out as he began clearing papers from his desk .

"Do you have the blood results, who is I—," a young boy walked in and took a seat in front of him ludging behind a rather huge looking briefcase.

"Yah! Who let you in here and who are you?" Shin asked rather furious that his secretary hadn't informed him in advance.

"Drop the case," he said looking at his eyes without a single drop of fear

"What?"

"Drop the case and we'll pay you double,"

"We?"

"Kim Soo hyuk Hyung and me,"

The lawyer chuckled . "I'm sorry but you cannot make such stupid requests here. This is a law firm where justice always shines through and the evidence points to the guilty and by my evidence collection, Kim Soo hyuk is guilty,"

" if you don't accept my offer, you could be in trouble!" The boy said again looking at him is the eye, sort of like he was pleading the lawyer to accept the offer and be done with it .

"Don't pull any nonsense pranks and get out of here!" Shin yelled , the boy jumped and nodded as he walked out the door

He slightly turned back and said
"Don't say I didn't warn you ahjussi,"

He was gone like the wind in a matter of seconds .

"Blood results came back and it was a match too Jeon Jungkook, the chairman's son,"

"Release a public statement "

"I don't think the chairman would appreciate that sir,"

"Evidence is evidence," he said firmly

The next day, the case was honourably won by Kim Shin and his department . He was rewarded handsomely and received a huge promotion and for the next 5 years his little baby who was now 5 years old and his wife were living a great life.

It would be wrong to say that Shin didn't receive death threats now and then but it was always ignored or reported. The police often arrested that same boy that came to his office that day but he was released a few days later. Shin was never worried that was until one day when his wife and him had returned from the mart and saw that boy again playing soccer with Shins son, Tae Joon.

" omma! Hyung bought me this new soccer ball!" Tae joon said smiling . His mother smiled back and shin frowned but his wife invited the boy to come inside for a drink.

"What's your name?" His wife asked

"Ji woo. Kim ji woo," he said and drank the cold glass of water .

As he was walking out he turned to shin.

"Nice son you got there. Best be careful of where he goes," he said and smirked walking away in another direction.

"What do you want!" He finally yelled.

Ji Woo turned back and said , " an appeal for Kim Soo Hyuk,"

"That is impossible!"

"Then I'm afraid for your family,"

The next few days , shin was in distressed . He forbidden his son from playing on the field with his friends or from going to tuitions alone.

"I have to send him some place safe. Some place far from here,"

"Tae Joon ah!"

"Yes?"

"Tomorrow we'll go see the sunrise and drink hot chocolate!"

"YAY!!"

The next morning , shin woke his son up and packed his bag stuffing in clothes, shoes and stationary. He wrapped Tae Joon in comfortable and warm clothing and placed him in the car and drove to Busan.

Tae joon as sleeping when Shin pulled up at Hope orphanage. He carried the sleeping boy and placed him on one of the empty beds before pleading to the nuns

"Please take care of him! This is his new ID car, passport, birth certificate and everything else,"  to which the nuns nodded

The birth certificate wrote
Kim Tae Oh - original Kim Tae Joon
His original hair colour was brownish which was dyed black.

Even the hacker couldn't hack into his own system nor name.
