Today was a day that you were alone, you didn't have the others to hang out with because they left to a beach trip while you stayed behind. You weren't a fan of the beach and didn't really want to join in on this.

"What to do...?" You thought in your head.

You thought of the many things you can do instead of hanging out with the others.

"Nothing comes up... What should I even do...?" You sighed deeply.

You headed for Leblanc to have a nice cup of tea from Sojiro himself.

"How come you didn't accompany the others?" Sojiro asked.

"I'm not a big fan of the sun... wouldn't want to get my skin tanned now.." You sighed.

"If I were you, I would've went. It could've been fun to go around and splashing in water." Sojiro laughed.

You nodded.

"Want to help out with work? Maybe you can help me with a little bit of work here." Sojiro asked you.

You agreed to work which you slipped on an apron. Sojiro went through the basics of making tea and coffee, he was even teaching you how to make curry.

"Can you keep the store running Y/N? Futaba needs me to grab something for her. I'll be right back." Sojiro said.

You nodded and let Sojiro run off on his own. Someone entered the store, it was a boy with long brown hair, probably around high school. He stepped in and looked around.

"Ah, I'm sorry is the manager not here at the moment?" The boy asked.

"He ran out, I can serve you something though. Would you like something to eat or drink?" You asked the boy.

"Sure, I'd like a cup of coffee." The boy smiled.

You stared at him in surprised.

"A cup of coffee...? In this hot weather would you really want a cup of coffee?" You made sure you were hearing things right.

"Yes... That's right. Hold on, I thought employees weren't supposed to question what the customers order." The boy looked at you with a dark expression on his face.

Wow, talk about someone trying to correct you who isn't your boss.

"So, what brings you here?" The boy looked at you.

"What do you mean?" You looked at him confused while making the coffee.

"Aren't people like you supposed to be having fun outside? Like go to the beach, read a book outside, go shopping?" The boy pressed more questions on to you.

"No thanks, I wouldn't want the sun to burn me like bacon." You joked around.

"Hahaha...! You know, I like you already!" The boy laughed at your awful joke.

You served his coffee and sat down.

"Why don't you come here? Sit with me, I'd like to talk to you more." The boy asked.

"No thanks, I'm in charge of the store so I can't leave my position." You said.

"Ah, I see... Well, what's your name? My name is Goro Akechi. You're free to call me whatever you want." Akechi gave you a friendly smile, it reminded you a lot of Maruki's friendly smile.

"Y/N, Y/N L/N." You answered back.

"Huh... What a nice name... Mind if I ask if we can become friends? I'd like to befriend someone like you." Akechi grinned.

"Sure..." You gave him your number but heard the door's bell ring as someone entered.

"Good afterno- Y/N...?! What are you doing here...?!" That voice...

You looked over to see Maruki with a friend of his.

"Good afternoon Doctor Maruki!" You cheerfully said.

Maruki sat down with his friend on a table.

You rushed over to Maruki's side but noticed how Akechi flared over at Maruki as if he didn't like him.

"What would you two like?" You asked.

"Two cups of tea for the both of us." Maruki smiled.

You served them tea and placed it at their table.

"Pardon me Y/N, do you know that guy?" Akechi asked.

"Yeah, he's my school psychologist." You nodded.

"I see... Well are you two on good terms?" Akechi asked.

"H-Huh?! Oh yeah! Of course." You gave Akechi a thumbs up.

"Very well." Akechi nodded.

You heard the door's bell ring as Sojiro entered in.

"Ah, sorry to put you in such pres-" Sojiro looked around, seeing all the people you've served.

"I'm impressed Y/N, great job!" Sojiro clapped for you.

Sojiro handed you some yen for helping out and sent you home after that.

"Well, at least I did something." You sighed to yourself and walked back home.

"Y/N...!" You heard Maruki's voice call out after you.

You left the door open as he stood there.

"I'd like to hang out again some other time, if that's okay with you. Also thank you for the other day. " Maruki smiled.

"No problem, and sure. I'll try to make myself available." You agreed.

"Great! I'll meet you at Inokashira again! From then we can go somewhere else." Maruki said.

He walked away leaving you alone.

"Dummy... Could've at least texted me..." You laughed a little.

You saw pictures from Akira and the others as they showed you their summer fun. It was sad seeing it since you didn't go to the beach with them. Maybe next time you'd go along with them.

You then thought about that guy with Maruki. Who can he be...?

You received a text message from an unknown number. You were quick to read from who it was.

"Hey um, sorry to bother. This is from Takuto's friend Shibusawa. I ask if we can meet tomorrow, there are things I have to tell you about Takuto." The person said.

"Shibusawa" must be the guy from the cafe.

"Sure, I'm available." You responded.

He didn't respond back leaving your message unread but you couldn't help but think... What could he possibly want? Is he going to tell you something you want to hear or not hear? It's about Maruki after all, of course you'd want to hear it out.
