|Chapter 37: Getting suspicious|

Today was the day the calling card was posted, Akira called you over for the group meeting with the others but for some reason you didn't want to go. You had stepped out due to how tired you were.

"I've never felt this tired before... Is something wrong with me...?" You sighed.

You looked at your text messages and saw no new messages from Maruki. He hadn't talked to you at all yesterday.

Strange, he usually sends me a message everyday. Is he that busy or did he forget?

You sent a message this time starting a conversation with him "Hey Takuto, what's up?" No reply.

"I wanna send him another message but I don't want to seem so annoying to him..." You sighed deeply to yourself.

You waited for him to reply even going as to hours of waiting but no reply.

Maybe he's busy... Damn it, I want to see him again.

"What's wrong?"
You heard the voice of Champeron Rouge say.

"I don't know I feel a bit lonely and sad without Maruki... What should I do?" You asked.

"Why don't thee go see him? A little visit will make for a good time."
Champeron Rouge suggested.

"I don't know where he lives, he knows where I live but I just don't know where he lives." You pouted.

"How awful, thee doesn't even know where her special one lives."

"Ouch Champeron Rouge..." You said

"I'm only teasing, why not go out? Get some fresh air?"
Champeron rouge said.

"Sure, why not?" You agreed.

You dressed into some comfortable clothes and headed outside. You felt as if someone was watching you, keeping a close eye on you.

You continued on and went towards Shibuya, looking for stuff to buy. You walked around and felt someone tap your shoulder. You turned around hoping it'd be Maruki but it was nothing but Akechi.

"Hello Y/N! Am I glad to see you here!" Akechi smiled.

"Mhmm yeah.." You answered sarcastically.

"Quite the wrong answer... Mind if I join you and go with you where ever you're going?" Akechi asked.

"Sure, go for it." You nodded.

The two of you walked around Shibuya looking for stuff. That was when that question popped into your head. The one that you possibly heard Maruki calling out to you that other time.

"Hey Akechi-Kun... By any chance yesterday did I hear Tak- Doctor Maruki's voice yesterday?" You asked.

Akechi looked at you and answered right away to what you had said.

"Not at all, He wasn't with us that day. You kept on mumbling his name during your sleep so I wonder how special is that man to you." Akechi laughed.

"Oh, he's just my doctor. One of my favorites, I can almost consider him a friend." You nodded.

"How interesting, you two must be very close." Goro smiled.

We are more than that, but I'd rather not tell you. You could expose me for dating someone a lot older than me.

"Say Y/N, how is it that the doctor is close to all of you and Akira? The doctor doesn't seem like a guy to get too emotionally attached to someone. Not just that but he seems to care about you a lot. It's almost as if you-"

You slapped Akechi out of nowhere.

"O-Ow..." Akechi put his hand on his cheek, softly rubbing it.

"It's national slap each other day! That was my slap to you!" You made up an excuse.

"Is that so...? How come I haven't heard of this day?" Akechi questioned.

"It's special! Yes! It only happens once in a life time! Gotta slap everyone ya know!" You faked a smile.

Akechi began to laugh.

"Is that so? I guess I'll go slap Akira. This seems like a hilarious type of thing." Akechi nodded.

"Hey Akechi, this was fun but I have to go now. I gotta go feed my cat at home." You ran off.

How strange, she's definitely hiding something. She doesn't want to tell me but little did she know that I could find out by keeping an eye on her. I've always been able to find out stuff just like how I found out Akira is a phantom thief.

I should keep a close eye on her, maybe then she'll confess when I get close to exposing the truth. Most importantly I should keep a close eye on that doctor. Hang on a minute... She dropped something on the ground.

"Is that... Her phone?" I picked it up from the ground.

I saw text messages, a lot of them.

"Interesting, I'm going to entertain myself with this." I smiled and walked away.

You ran back home and shut the door tightly.

"That detective prince is getting on my nerves...! Jumping from conclusion to conclusion...! It's like he wants to pry in everything!" You frowned.

"Is that so? It's like he's in love with you or something!" You heard your mother's voice.

You were startled by the sudden response from your mother. You didn't expect her to be home back.

"M-Mom...! When did you get here...?" You asked.

"Earlier, they let me out of work so I can spend time with my baby boo Y/N." Your mother smiled.

"So do tell me about Goro, is her your boyfriend yet? When can I meet him?" She asked.

"No, he's not my boyfriend, my boyfriend is Tak- Man I was about to confuse food for my boyfriend hahaha. You know me and tacos." You laughed sarcastically.

"What does tacos have to do with being your boyfriend??" Your mother asked.

"Well you know I'm hungry, I need me some food. Whether it's Japanese food or different kinds of food." You smiled.

Your mom looked at you and said "You're right, now I'm hungry too." She sighed.

Phew...! One second and she could possibly figure out who my boyfriend actually was but... he hasn't contacted me at all yet and it's making me worry...
