|Chapter 51: I never knew|

You opened your eyes slowly and found yourself laying down in a bed. The place you were in was very bright but yet the colors seemed to be beautiful.

"Where am I...?" You wondered.

You got up from your bed and proceeded to look around. You had suddenly recognized this place.

"This is... This is where I awakened my persona abilities....! Why am I here...??" A lot of questions went through your head but.

"Takuto...! Where's Takuto...?!" You looked around.

"Takuto!!" You yelled.

You saw some shadows and were afraid they'd hurt you but instead they came up to you to greet you. How??

"Aren't you guys going to attack me or something???" You questioned.

"You are special to Doctor Maruki. How can we hurt you. He had gave us direct orders to check if you were alright." The shadows said.

"Doctor Maruki...? Wait hang on a minute... Where is he...?!" You asked.

"The doctor is awaiting you in a room, shall we escort you there??" The shadows asked.

For once this was odd because usually you've never been treated this kindly by shadows. You agreed to follow them as they took you to a room. They left you alone so that you'd open the doors.

You opened the door and looked around.

"Takuto...! Takuto...! Are you in here??" Your voice echoed.

"I see you're awake now." Maruki's voice said.

You felt relief hearing his voice but you still needed an explanation to everything he promised he'd tell you. When he stepped out of the shadows there he was, walking towards you in a white suit, his hair wasn't in the same mess it usually was. Was this your Maruki...?

"Takuto....?" You questioned.

He laughed a little nervously.

"A-Ah don't get the wrong idea, just because I changed appearance it doesn't mean my whole personality has changed! I am still me after all." Maruki smiled.

"Takuto... I want you to explain everything...! What is the meaning behind this...?!" You were a little frustrated to all of this being kept from you.

"I'm sorry, I should've explained sooner but... Welcome, to my place at least I should say. A long time ago when I wanted to help Rumi I had developed these powers so by doing so I did the right thing to suddenly suppress her memories. It was all the sake of happiness." Maruki said.

"So you developed a persona...??" You questioned.

"Yes and well... Do you know why I became a therapist?" Maruki looked over at you.

You didn't know the answer to this because he never told you this.

"I became a therapist for her and other people, so I can see the world happy. I don't like to live in a world where ones living in pain and suffering... I want to save everyone from all of it... Including you, (y/n) I want you to be in a world where you're happier so... Give me the one thing you desire the most and I'll give you that." Maruki said.

You stood there still, thinking about what he had told you.

"My desire...." You muttered to yourself.

You thought about this throughly and reached your hand outwards to Maruki.

"I don't have a desire what so ever..." You said.

Maruki looked over at you.

"It's okay, I'll give you the time you need to think about it. Right now... Would you like some tea?" Maruki asked.

You agreed to it.

Maruki had one the shadows go get some tea for you.

In the meanwhile Maruki came up to you and took your hand lightly. You could feel yourself wanting to throw your arms around him or even flustered a little.

"Do you want to return to the real world? I'll let you return if you want." Maruki asked.

"No... I would rather spend time here with you." You threw your arms around Maruki.

You can see him look with a surprised face.

"If that's what you say then I'll let you stay here. The shadows are harmless they won't attack you so long as you don't attack them or at least they won't attack you because they know you're something precious to me." Maruki smiled.

"Takuto... Is it true that you can give me anything that I desire??" You questioned.

Maruki looked over at you and said "I could, I could make whatever you could've wanted come true. I'm a miracle worker so I have done something like this before."

The two of you walked into a room which was the grand kitchen of this place. It looked very well organized and beautiful to be here. Almost like some billionaires kitchen.

The two of you began to cook right besides each other, you felt a little lost seeing that Maruki looked like he knew what he was doing, you on the other hand couldn't comprehend all of this.

You continued to chop up some vegetables when you accidentally cut your fingers.

"Tchh....!" You turned away from Maruki so he wouldn't see it.

He was quick to notice that you stopped doing things.

"(y/n) Is something wrong?" Maruki looked over your way.

"No, nothing at all...!" You gave him a smile despite being in pain.

Drip, drop.

The sounds of your blood leaking from your fingers were loud. Loud as if you were walking through an empty hallway.

"(y/n).... Can I see your hand?" Maruki said.

You turned around, admitting to defeat. Maruki looked surprised when he saw you cut your fingers on accident.

"(y/n)! Why would you hide this from me...?!" Maruki yelled.

You didn't answer but looked down, Maruki grabbed your hand and sighed deeply.

"Come forth, Azathoth." Maruki said calmly.

It was then that you were able to get a glimpse of his persona. That persona looked so... Familiar. You didn't know why but it just did.

You saw an aura around you and Maruki, it went around your bleeding fingers and tickled you a little. Once Azathoth vanished you looked back at your fingers and noticed your wounded fingers were healed.

"Takuto... I never knew that..." You muttered.

Maruki looked at you with a smile on his face.

"How about you go back to your room and get some rest? I'll handle dinner on my own. I'll call you when it's ready." Maruki nodded.

You nodded and went aside with the shadows who led you to your room. Leaving you alone.
