|Chapter 27: I want you to call me by my name|

"What the eff Y/N? How come you kept avoiding us?" Ryuji asked.

"Sorry I was going through a little crisis...!" You smiled.

"It's like she had a change of heart... Y/N had you always been a shadow?" Akira asked.

"What...! No!" You denied.

"Akira that's dumb...! If Y/N was a shadow we would have seen her in the mementos!" Ann frowned.

"Either way we're all glad you're back and feeling better than ever." Makoto smiled.

"What happened to you anyways? Did you get a boyfriend or something?" Ryuji asked.

Ann elbowed Ryuji in the stomach.

"Don't start saying things you jealous pervert...!" Ann yelled.

"Shut up Ann!" Ryuji frowned.

The two proceeded to argue with each other again like some sort of married couple again.

"So break the news towards us Y/N!" Makoto smiled.

"It's nothing really... I just happened to um, pass my exams with a good score!" You lied so that you didn't have to admit that you were in a relationship with someone way older than you.

"That's great Y/N....! Hey Y/N I was wondering if you were interested in joining student council. I had assigned you to join. I feel like you'd make good use of being in there." Makoto mentioned.

"H-Huh...?! Really?? Mako, I'm not even sure I'm meant for this...." You stared in shock.

"I mean you don't have to say yes, I just thought you'd be a great member to our student council group." Makoto said.

"I guess I'll do it...! If you think I'm a great addition to the student council I'll do it!" You agreed.

"Great! Come with me!" Makoto grabbed yourself hand and took you to the student council office.

She stacked a pile of papers and put in on the table.

"I'm going to need you to do these, please?" Makoto walked off.

You sighed.

What was I getting myself into...?

You continued to do paper work after paper work even skipping out on lunch just to finish all of them....

~~After school~~

You finally managed to finish all the paper work Makoto had assigned you.

"Ugh... I can't believe it took me that much..." You sighed.

One of the student council members walked up to you and gave you an arm band.

"I'm going to need you to wear this, President Nijima said so." The student then walked away.

You placed the arm band on your arm.

I can't believe I'm in the student council... Talk about not fitting in...

You opened the doors and were about to head home but Maruki was waiting outside for you.

"I heard you became a student council member! Great job Y/N!" Maruki clapped for you.

"It's not easy as it seems... I'm stressed and I haven't even ate anything at all..." You sighed.

Maruki grabbed your hand.

"You do seem stressed out, I happened to make some lunch for the both of us but you were too busy with the student council stuff so it's probably cold by now... I have a microwave in my office, would you like to come?" Maruki asked.

"Of course!" You nodded and walked with Maruki, you made sure he wasn't holding on to your hand so that students around wouldn't get suspicious about it.

Maruki closed the door and made sure there were curtains covering around. He microwaved some curry he made and served it to you.

"I'd like you to try it, it'll be the first time you've tried my cooking." Maruki smiled.

You dug in and so far enjoyed the curry he made.

"This is so good...! Thank you so much Doctor Maruki...!" You smiled.

"Really? I'm glad you enjoyed it then!" Maruki laughed.

He then paused and looked at you.

"Hey Y/N, would you mind if I asked if you could call me Takuto... I've never heard you say my name before and well since it's the two of us I'd like to hear you say my name." Maruki said.

"Is that so? Okay Takuto." You nodded.

Maruki hugged you.

"That was adorable..!" Maruki cheered on about it.

"Oh do remember Y/N, around people you must address me as Doctor Maruki or Maruki. When we're together alone you can call me Takuto." Maruki nodded.

"Gotcha Takuto, I was planning on sticking with that anyways." You nodded.

"Takuto, how about I make you some dinner soon? That would be better." You insisted.

"Only if you don't overwork yourself." You mentioned.

"Oh that's right Y/N, you've never seen my place before! I'd like to show you one day." Maruki smiled.

"Sure, maybe when I'm available." You nodded.

"Oh speaking of which, there's a Hawaii trip coming soon for Shujin students. I know your class is going." Maruki mentioned.

"Really? Why don't you tag along with Takuto?" You asked of him.

"Me? Oh, I don't think I could possibly tag along.." Maruki looked down.

"Please Takuto! I'm begging you, come along with!" You begged of Maruki to come along.

"You're taking advantage of me again by calling me Takuto... Fine, maybe I'll think about it." Maruki thought about.

"Really...? Thanks!" You were about to leave his office when he stopped you.

"Y/N, do you want me to drop you off?" Maruki asked.

You nodded and agreed, the two of you walked home when it was dark. That was when Maruki reached in for your hand and held it.

"Your hands are always so cold you know, they're soft and cold." Maruki mentioned.

You laughed a little.

Just as you were about to walk up to your apartment Maruki called out to you.

"You forgot something Y/N." Maruki said.

"What is it Takuto?" You asked.

Maruki leaned forward and gave you a kiss on the forehead. He didn't say a thing but walked away with a smile on his face.

"Damn it...! really...? You think you're so smooth Takuto...!" You frowned.

You entered back your home, feeling happy that you were with Maruki. You couldn't still believe all of this was happening to you.
