|Chapter 50: I want to save you.|

You got ready for today, this time you grabbed the bow you use in the mementos in case something was going to attack you and shoved it in your bag. You also brought in some healing items and a bit of some plastic replicas of guns with you. This was embarrassing but you had to be more prepared for this.

Maruki had asked you to meet him up outside in which you did. He pulled up with his car and smiled.

"Y/N! Let me drive you to my place!" Maruki said.

Odd... Now we're going to his house of all places? This is different.

You went inside his car as he drove to his house and parked his car. You then walked inside the door. The same nice and relaxing smell of the inside of his house made you feel at ease.

"It feels great to be back here... Again..." You muttered.

"Really? The house was lonely without you too." Maruki laughed.

"Is that so? Should I come over here more often??" You questioned.

"Maybe you should, but I mean it isn't like you'll stay here forever." Maruki sighed.

"Huh...?" You questioned.

"Oh, um! I forgot about the food! Here! I made some chicken stew! Would you like some??" Maruki asked.

"Sure." You nodded.

Maruki served your some chicken stew and sat down next to you. He had that same smile on his face that almost made you forget to ask him that question... Maruki doesn't look like a bad guy, he seems harmless and not willing to hurt anybody but as for the memory suppressing... Why would he do that??

"How's your chicken stew??" Maruki questioned.

He noticed how you haven't layed a finger on the chicken stew, it was sitting there with the spoon by it's side ready to be eaten although... The question bothered you a whole lot.

"O-Oh um...! My bad, I was so lost in thoughts that I didn't even think about eating the chicken stew..!" You grabbed the spoon and began to taste the chicken stew. It was delicious as usual.

"So you were saying you were lost in thoughts? What were you thinking about?" Maruki tilted his head, facing you.

"A lot of stuff... Really." You said.

"What kinda of stuff? I'd like to know if you would like to talk about it that is. Just know I'm always here to help you and I will one hundred percent be truthful with you." Maruki nodded.

"Is that so...? If you say what you're going to say then I'd like to know the truth." You looked over at Maruki with a serious look on your face.

"Know the truth? Sure, I'm able to tell you what you want to know." Maruki seemed clueless as to what you were trying to talk about.

"So can you believe it? I can't believe I had forgotten something... Something important... It's like my memories were suppressed, don't you think?" You looked at Maruki.

Maruki looked surprised.

"I don't know what you-"

"Takuto, I want you to be honest like you said you would... Did you or did you not suppress my memories?" You asked.

Maruki looked as if he didn't want to answer but...

"Yes, yes I did. I was the one who suppressed your memories." Maruki admitted.

I can't believe he actually confessed to it...! I was expecting him to cowar away and not answer my question or maybe suppress my memories once more but... Here he is... Admitting to his fault doing...

"I did suppress your memories... Back then I didn't want you finding out my darkest secrets. I was scared what you would think if you had found out about me but... Yes, I'm admitting everything." Maruki said.

You were surprised at what he was telling you.

"But why Takuto...? Why would you hide things from me and not explain?? I would be willing to understand you and even talk to you about it." You nodded.

"I know I'm at fault here, I'm sorry for doing such things. I take full action for lying to you like this. And I think it's time I showed you everything and explained the truth once and for all." Maruki said.

"Truth...? Do tell me..." You asked.

Maruki reached his hand towards your face and said "Do you trust me?"

You hesitated a little feeling a bit worried for what will happen.

"Please don't suppress my memories again... If you do it you know I'm bound to find out once again. Secrets don't stay hidden with me." You said.

"I'm not going to suppress your memories... I'm just asking if you trust me. If you don't I could take you back home and we can forget about all this." Maruki said.

You were curious as to what he was going to do, was he going to take you somewhere or what??

"I.... I trust you." You nodded in agreement.

"Thank you..." Maruki smiled.

"Hold on to me Y/N." Maruki said.

You did so, wrapping your arms around him when you suddenly felt sleepy again. That same feeling again as last time when you got your memories suppressed.

"T-Takuto... Did you lie to me...?!" You questioned.

He didn't answer but rather looked away.

You tried to fight back a little but felt weak compared to him. You can see that shadow behind him.

What did you do.

You closed your eyes and fell asleep in Maruki's arms.

~~Maruki's pov~~

I'm not going to suppress her memories again... I just made her fall asleep for a temporary short of time, she'll wake up with her memories again.

I wrapped my doctor's coat around her as I carried her in my arms.

"We're leaving now Y/N... This will probably be hard to you but I promise to explain everything once we get there and you wake up. I promise you that you'll be safe with me. No one will be able to attack you or ever hurt you again..." I muttered to myself as I walked away, far from home.

A/N: thank you all for reading this but I have to announce that the story is going on a small hiatus, I have stuff to catch up with and keep continuing which I won't be able to upload during the time I'm busy. So as of now the story is going to be on a small 3 week hiatus, maybe even 2 depending on how everything goes. Thank you all for supporting the story and being patient with it.
