The four of us watched in excitement as four carriages with flying horses on the front were coming into land at Hogwarts. Along with a large boat that slowly emerged from the water about to dock at the school. Everyone was rushed inside to change and meet in the main hall for the feast and Dumbledors yearly speech. "Now we're all settled in and sorted, I'd like to make an announcement." Dumbledore paused for a second as the large doors to the great hall opened loudly. "This castle will not only be your home this year but home to some very special guests as well. You see Hogwarts has been chosen..."

Once more Dumbledore stopped speaking as Mr. Filch ran up the hall to him with a limp and whispered to Dumbledore before he ran back down the hall the same way. "So Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event. The Tri-Wizard tournament." Many students among the hall started to whisper amongst themselves. "Tri-Wizard tournament? What's that?" Harry quietly asked me. "It's a tournament between wizarding schools to be named champion." I answered back and he nodded in slight understanding.

"Now for those of you who do not know, the tri-wizard tournament brings together three schools for a series of magical contests. From each school, a single contestant is selected to compete. Now let me be clear, if chosen you stand alone. And trust me when I say these contests are not for the faint-hearted, but more of that later." Dumbledore gestured to the large doors as he spoke. "For now please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy of magic and their headmistress Madame Maxime."

The wooden doors opened revealing a group of students from Beauxbatons, the girls walked in with their hands behind their back until they stopped by one of the tables and sighed dreamingly as they waved their hands releasing glittering blue butterflies. They continued down the way and Ron started to stare at their bums."Bloody Hell" He murmured. "Ronald!" I scolded with a swat to his arm causing him to jump back in his seat as Hermione and I both gave him looks. "I've never heard of Beauxbatons" Harry said as he looked back at Hermione and I with knitted brows. "It's another wizarding school. My mum went there for four years before my grandparents allowed her to transfer here much to Uncle Sirius helping her bug them."

Ron frowned in confusion and looked at me. "I didn't know your mum went to that school." I gave him a look. "You would have if you listen instead of shoving your face of shepards pie." Hermione snickered as Ron's pursed expression. "Did you almost go there too Phe?" I nodded at her question. "Dad almost sent me..he said I looked exactly like her with her old uniform on."

"I'm glad you didn't" Harry said with a sweet smile as I looked up at him, I couldn't help but return it and bow my head the slightest as a blush rose to my cheeks. "Blimey, that's one big woman." Ron looked up at Madam Maxine with wide eyes at Seamus's words. "Could say that again." He agreed. "Madam Maxine personally came to the house to invite me to Beauxbatons. Dad was a bit shocked they wanted me to come so badly but it was mainly because they consider my mum a legacy." I explained to Hermione and Harry.

As the girls from Beauxbatons finished their entrance and bowed everyone applauded and some even whistled until Dumbledore stepped back up and held his hands out, quieting everyone. "And now our friends from the north, please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang and the high master Igor Karkaroff." A series of older boys walked up the aisle while twirling bo staffs in their hands and periodically stabbing them to the floor creating a spark effect. The last of the Durmstrang students to enter was Viktor Krum. "Blimey, it's him, Viktor Krum!" Ron breathed out with a squeak of wonder. One of the other students breathed into something causing a fire to bread out in the shape of a phoenix.

After everyone had filled their stomachs of food besides Hermione who had decided she was going to boycott the meals when she found that they were cooked by house-elves. "Your attention, please! I would like to say a few words. Eternal glory, that is what awaits the student who wins the tri-wizard tournament. But to do this that students must survive three tasks. Three extremely dangerous tasks." Fred grinned at Dumbledore. "Wicked."

Hermione rolled her eyes as the boys surrounding her and I were practically drooling over the idea of competing, except for Harry he seemed confused. "For this reason, the ministry has seen fit to impose a new rule. To explain all this we have the head of the department of international magic cooperation Mister Bartimus Crouch."

As soon as Dumbledore stopped speaking for the moment a large rung of thunder roared overhead causing some of the younger students to screech in fright. A loud bang of someone's stump rang through the hall bringing everyone's eyes to the back of the room where a large distressed and scratched up a man stood. "Bloody hell, it's Mad-Eye Moody." Ron whispered in shock. "Alastor Moody? The Auror?" Hermione muttered back with furrowed brows. "Auror?" Harry questioned. "He was a catcher. Half the cells in Azkaban are full thanks to him. He's supposed to be mad as a hatter though these days."

Harry nodded at Ron's explanation and the group watched as Mad-Eye walked down the long path to the front, his mechanical eye turned to the side looking at Harry and I as he passed our table. Mad-Eye stopped to the side of the staff table and breathed heavily as he took a swig of something in a large flask. "What's that he's drinking do you suppose?" Dean asked from across Seamus. "I don't know but I don't think it's Pumpkin Juice." Harry retorted with slightly squinted eyes.

"After much deliberation, the ministry has concluded that for their own safety no student under the age of seventeen shall be allowed to put forth their name for the tri-wizard tournament. This decision is final." Barty Crouch stated from the front of the room causing multiple students to start booing and arguing. "That's rubbish! You don't know what you're doing!" George shouted angrily but stopped when I gave him a look.

"Jeez, you really are tiny but mighty." Fred snorted at his twin's slight fear of me but when I then turned to him he stopped and looked back at me innocently. "Silence!" Dumbledore demanded the many students and out of the corner of his eye, he winked directly at me as a thank you for claiming the twins. Dumbledore waved his wand over a box that transformed into a large goblet with a blue flame. "The goblet of fire. Anyone wishing to submit themselves for the tournament merely writes their name upon a piece of parchment and throw it in the flame before this hour on Thursday night. Do not do so lightly, if chosen there's no turning back." Dumbledore glanced around the room through the now quiet of the hall. "As from this moment the tri-wizard tournament has begun."
