Ophelia and Hermione both made their way out of their shared room with Ginny and down the many stairs as the twins enchanted trunks flew above them. Fred lost his grip and his trunk almost fell on Ginny. "Gin watch out!" Ophelia warned as she caught the trunk with her magic and slowly lowered it to the ground by the bottom of the staircase. "—COULD HAVE DONE HER A SERIOUS INJURY, IF IT WEREN'T FOR OPHELIA, YOU IDIOTS—" Mrs. Weasley screamed angrily as the twins grimaced.
"—FILTHY HALF-BREEDS, BESMIRCHING THE HOUSE OF MY FATHERS—" Waldaburga began shouting along with Molly making for an extremely long morning. "MadEye's complaining that we can't leave unless Sturgis Podmore's here, otherwise the guard will be one short." Hermione explained to Ron and Harry who walked towards them. "Guard?" Harry asked. "We have to go to King's Cross with a guard?" Ophelia shook her head. "You have to go to King's Cross with a guard."
"Why?" Harry asked irritably. "I thought Voldemort was supposed to be lying low, or are you telling me he's going to jump out from behind a dustbin to try and do me in?" Hermione shrugged. "I don't know, it's just what Mad-Eye says," said Hermione distractedly, looking at her watch. "But if we don't leave soon we're definitely going to miss the train..."
"Harry, you're to come with me and Tonks," shouted Mrs. Weasley over the repeated screeches of "MUDBLOODS! SCUM! CREATURES OF DIRT!" Ophelia rolled her eyes at her bloodpurist grandmother and sent a jolt at her portrait surprising her making her silent for a moment. She then conjured a thick curtain over it blocking out her screams. "Leave your trunk and your owl, Alastor's going to deal with the luggage....Oh, for heaven's sake, Sirius, Dumbledore said no!" At Molly's words Ophelia looked down to see Sirius in dog form between her and Harry.
"Oh honestly..." said Mrs. Weasley despairingly, "Well, on your own head be it!" Mrs. Weasley opened the front door and stepped out with Harry and Ophelia following. The couple held hands as they followed their motherly figure. "Where's Dora?" Ophelia asked, glancing around as they stepped down onto the pavement. "She's waiting for us just up here." said Mrs. Weasley. The four of them walked down the street towards where Tonks was waiting.
"Wotcher, Harry, Phelia." Tonks said, winking. "Better hurry up, hadn't we, Molly?" she added, checking her watch. Mrs. Weasley nodded. "I know, I know. But Mad-Eye wanted to wait for Sturgis....If only Arthur could have got us cars from the Ministry again...but Fudge wouldn't let him borrow so much as an empty ink bottle these days.....How Muggles can stand traveling without magic..." Suddenly the great black dog version of Sirius barked happily and chased his own tail. Ophelia smiled knowing he had been stuck inside for a while. It took about twenty minutes to reach Kings cross by foot, once they all reached the station Harry and Ophelia shared a wide smile at the sight of the Hogwarts express.
"I hope the others make it in time," said Mrs. Weasley anxiously, staring behind her at the wrought-iron arch spanning the platform, through which new arrivals would come. "Nice dog, Harry!" called the twins's friend Lee. "Thanks, Lee" said Harry, grinning, as Sirius wagged his tail frantically. "Oh good," Mrs. Weasley said relieved, "Here's Alastor with the luggage, look..."
