I Can't Take It Anymore

11. Just another day

Fast Forward to 3:30 p.m. :

As I'm walking to A.N.D.'s Diner, my head is aching and I'm stuck with my attitude from earlier. I'm just hoping that my first day isn't going to go bad like it has been so far. I still have a good ten minute walk until I get to the diner, so my brain automatically began to drift off to the highlight of my day.

Flashback Omniscient POV:

"Get your hands off me!" yelled Bianca as she tried to trip Kailyn.

Kailyn was shoving Bianca to the ground to avoid getting hit again. As of right now there was a crowd of students already forming. With everyone staring at the altercation. The whole thing was a scene, kids were recording and some were just egging the two on.

"You hit me first, or did I hit you back too hard for you to forget so easily," Kailyn mustered after one of Bianca's friends elbowed her side making her fall down to the ground too. When she laid in the floor in pain, she finally noticed the attention was on her. Which she hated.

"Don't tell me tough girl is going soft. This isn't over!" Bianca quickly stood up from the floor. She knew it was time to leave before an administrator showed up. As fast as they began to leave Kailyn slowly tried to stand.

"Bianca!" She turned around smiling as if nothing had happened.

"I don't know what your problem is with me, but I'm not about to keep taking you and your puppets disrespect. If anything I've tried walking away multiple times but you just keep starting with me. And I'm not about to keep putting my hands on you to protect myself. I'm not about violence, only when it's necessary. So with that being said-" Kailyn stopped to walk directly in front of Bianca.

"I'm sick of you and your friends. I've literally tried to do the right thing but you've given me no choice. I dare you to keep trying me because it can only get worse and that's my last tine saying it," said Kailyn, while limping to her locker and straightening her clothes. After she made sure to get her things she heard laughter behind her.

Turning around she heard a scoff and seen Bianca smile. "We'll see about that, now won't we?" Bianca warned, as she walked past Kailyn.

*End Of Flashback

My day is a complete blur because too much is going on. I need a break but I need to calm down because I can't walk into my first day of work like this. As I approached A.N.D.'s Diner, I completely forgot to check in with mom about getting the job. With everything that happened with Bianca it had completely slipped my mind. Sending her a quick message saying that I got the job and asking if she could pick me up after she got off, I put my phone away and walked into the diner.

"Just the person I was looking for. Come on you have work to do," said Mr. Andy as he met me by the door.

I followed him to the back as he started giving me directions.

"Everyday after school put your things here-" he pointed to a vacant cubby. "Nobody should steal anything because I trust all my employees. You'll be working up front greeting customers and being on the register taking orders. Today your training to take orders. Pretty simple. They tell you what they want and you copy it on this." He handed me a tab booklet.

"Every order needs this, don't forget. Before going to a booth make sure to grab some menus. I think that's the simplest way I can explain everything." he shrugged walking slowly with his cane in the right hand while his left held an apron. "This is yours. Put it on and let's start with your first customer."

I took the apron and followed his directions. For some reason I feel extra nervous. I can't believe I finally have a job. Here goes nothing!

"Welcome to A.N.D.'s Diner, my name is Kailyn and I'm your server. Let me know when you're ready to order." I said as I passed them menus.
