*Omnscient POV:

Kailyn's body layed still with barely no response. She most likely OD and just died. Her mother rushed to grab her phone, while quickly dialing 911.

"This is 911, what's your emergency?" asked the operator.

Maya could barley get a word out, "My daughter s-she just shot herself," said Mrs. Monroe.

"Ma'am is your daughter responsive?"

"I don't know," she slowly catched her breath. "I mean I don't hear her breathing."

"Well try to put pressure on the wounds and I'm sending an ambulance your way."

Maya hung the phone up without knowing. Quickly, she took off her jacket and tied it to hold it against her daughters gun shot wounds. She looked down at her daughter to see a soul less, fragile human being. Still holding on to the soaked shirt to keep pressure her hands shook from disbelief.

Ten mintues later paramedics came bursting onto the pation. She watched her daughter turn purple. What they didn't know was that Kailyn had stopped breathing.

"She's not breathing!" yelled on of the men as the hurried to get her onto the amublance to do protocal.

Those words made Maya's heartbreak. If her daughter didn't make it her life would no longer have reason.

...

Following the ambulance Maya sped to keep up to make it to Atlanta Memorial Hospital. The arrival to the hospital didn't take long since she basically beat the ambulance there. All Maya could do was sit still and wait for the news that would either make or break her.

Every few minutes she would glance at the ticking clock that was displayed above the reciptionstt area. She couldn't stop blaming herself. She had no idea that Kailyn was having those thoughts. Suddnely a dark skinned tall musucular guy with scrubs and a white lab coat, walked close to Maya as if he was examining her features.

"Are you Kailyn Monroe's mother?" asked the doctor.

"Yeah that's me. I'm Maya Monroe but how's my daughter." Maya responded back.

"Well Mrs. Monroe, I'm Dr. McCall. I was the doctor on call when you're daughter came into the hospital. From the looks of it your daughter definitely planned on killing herself. When we checked into her system, there was at least five different presperctions detected. Not to mention the gunshot wounds. The first bullet hit her directly in the side but we were able to get that one out. However, the other bullet and its placement which is in the oblique abdominal muscle. We aren't able to remove it without surgery. We don't think it's a good idea to do so at the moment because Kailyn has already lost a lot of blood. For now she's stable but is in a coma. Right after we removed the first bullet we were able to get her to breathe with the help of the oxygen tank, she shortly fell into a coma afterwards.

The good thing is that we were able to flush out her system so there's no more drugs in her system except for the IV we connected to help keep her levels up and to continue to drain out her system. Hopefully, the side affects from the pill won't be to much of the problem from it. "

Maya wasn't really paying attention to anything else the doctor said. After the doctor said that she was stable her heart finally was able to go back to normal.

"Will she be alright?"

"Only time will tell. We'll be lucky if she even wakes up. With her being shot twice and her body already being weak from the amount of drugs she took, her body wasn't strong in the first place. Escpecially for a suicide attempt, so that definetly didn't help her out.

In all honesty it's all up to Kailyn, Mrs. Monroe. We're doing everything that we can but the way coma's work they last for days and even weeks. As long as she stops losing so much blood and her body becomes stronger I think she'll be ok. I know this sounds wrong but don't worry she'll come around. She came this far and normally gunshot victims don't make it not to mention those patients who overdose too. Your daughter is in both categories. We'll keep you posted about everything though. I need to go back and check on your daughter. If you need anything ask for me or Nurse Jayde. She's also helping with your daughter."

Maya watched the doctor leave out the room. After hearing the news about her daughter, Mrs. Monroe sat down in despair. She began to pick her nails that were covered in her daughters blood. She felt that it was all her fault. She couldn't help but to think that if she would've walked through the doors at least one minute earlier she could've possibly stopped her daughter but that wasn't how it turned out.

*Unknown POV:

The two sat in silence staring at each other.

"Did you do what I asked you to do?" he said with attitude, his normal.

The girl gulped frightened by him while still looking down she mumbled, "It's taken care of. I did everything that you asked of me. I guess now all there's left to do is wait."

He gave her a death glare with a devious chuckle.

"Wait? Did I hear you right? Do you think I have time for that? If I ask you to do something, I except for it to be done. Understand?"

The girl was nervous to speak up but he wasn't having any parts of that.

"I'm waiting..."

"Y-yeah I understand, sir."

He smiled back at her making her more uncomfortable. He noticed her sitting weirdly in her seat looking at everything other then him. The thought of her being uncomfortable on his behalf made him smirk.

"Come here," he said looking at her up and down.

The girl sat still trying to ignoring his words. She thought that if she did what he wanted he would leave her alone, but she thought wrong.

"I said, come here!"

His voice echoed throughout the room making her jump out her seat and made her way over to him.

She prayed to herself, "No not this again."

End of POV...

9:55p.m. that night:

The scent of sickness was in the room. From the strong smells of bleach and the existence of germs in the air. It has now been eight hours since Kailyn was omitted into the hospital.

Maya stayed in the waiting area and made herself comfortable on the bench in the far corner. She was still in her outfit from earlier. The dark jeans and white blouse that was covered with Kailyn's blood. Some was even smeared on her face from when she had wiped her face from disbelief. She refused to go back home and change she couldn't not until she saw daughter. It was now about time for another update from the doctor anyway.

"Good you're awake. You can finally see her," said Dr. McCall as he waited on Mrs. Monroe.

The two walked into the back which was further from the treatment areas.

"This is the intense care area. We placed Kailyn here so she'll hopefully have a faster recovery," he said preparing to walk away as they approached a door. "We're here. I'll be back soon."

The doctor left leaving Maya alone by the door. The screeching sound of the door sounded throughout the hall as she made her way into the room. The only thing noticeable in the room was the beeping from the monitor and a body that looked so fragile and lifeless. The constant beeping made Maya smile. If she hadn't returned home, there would no longer be a heart beat to hear.

As she looked down at her daughter, she moved closer to grab a cold hand. Mrs. Monroe felt the tears coming but she ignored them.

"I'm so sorry, Kai This is all my fault. I'm sorry," she said before letting go and leaving the room.
