Two weeks have passed, and Yuqi finds herself becoming more comfortable in Korea with every passing day.She had become friendlier with all of the popular kids; now she was an established part of basically every group. She had taken a liking to Miyeon, Soyeon, and Soojin as well, who she hadn't properly met until Shuhua introduced them at lunch.
Soojin also had music class with her, so she spent a majority of the period just getting to know Soojin. It turns out that the girl was very shy outside of her friend group, and that Yuqi was hard for her to get used to, and vice versa. Yuqi normally preferred more outgoing friends, but Soojin was an exception. She could see why Shuhua was so hopelessly in love with her.
"Did I tell you about how Shuhua pronounces some korean words? Her accent is adorable!" Soojin smiled, and Yuqi rolled her eyes.
"Shuhua thinks that Soojin doesn't like her at all, meanwhile Soojin totally has a crush on her but doesn't know it yet and thinks she straight. This calls for a documentary!" Yuqi thought, half the time, her thoughts amused her more than the conversation at hand.
"You've only told me about Shuhua's cuteness about 17 times in the past few days. Just admit that you find her cute and go. I need to play my guzheng, or else I'm gonna get yelled at by Mrs. Lee." Yuqi retorted, and Soojin smacked her arm, slightly blushing.
Now, Yuqi was in gym. She didn't have gym with any of her popular friends, however she did have the class with ITZY instead.
They were all grouped together for the dodgeball tournament, and Yuqi was excited.
"I would love to throw a ball in some of these kids' faces." Yuqi thought, if only she could spike someone without getting trouble.
They were going against the BTS boys, which was probably unfair as they were 7 and had a big advantage over the girls, however, Yuqi wouldn't miss this opportunity to possibly injure Taehyung.
The whistle blew, and the game started.
Lia was hit by Jungkook; she was now out. Ryujin spiked Jimin and Yoongi, knocking them out of the game. Namjoon threw the ball, hitting Chaeryoung, who threw the ball at him and kicked him out as well. Yeji threw two balls, hitting Jin and Jungkook, making them leave the match.
Soon enough, the only ones left standing were Yuqi and Taehyung.
"I bet they don't play dodgeball like this in Taiwan, huh?" Taehyung mocked, and Yuqi never rolled her eyes harder.
"You're an actual idiot. I'm from China, C-H-I-N-A. Shuhua is from Taiwan!" Yuqi spelled out, never losing more brain cells in her life.
"Same thing." Taehyung huffed, and threw the ball at Yuqi.
Yuqi would have wanted to say that she caught it, and she won the game against that cocky asshole, but unfortunately that's not completely the case.
The ball landed flat on her face, leaving a huge black eye. Yuqi fell backwards, landing on her back, with her head spinning. "What the fuck just happened? Please tell me I didn't lose to that imbecile!"
Yuqi heard voices muffled in the distance, they were probably calling her name. She recognized Yuna's voice, before blacking out.
"Where the hell am I?" Yuqi croaked out, while adjusting to the light. A lady walked over to her; her flashlight shining in Yuqi's face ever so brightly.
"Relax, you're in the nurse's office. Do you remember what happened?" Yuqi read the name-tag of the nurse; her name was Taeyeon.
"I was in gym class, and I think I got knocked out by a dodgeball. Is that correct?" Yuqi mumbled, and the nurse smiled.
