Yuqi was sleeping soundly, when her phone kept going off, waking her up from her deep slumber. "If this is Shuhua, I'm gonna fucking kill her." Yuqi grumbled, grabbing her phone to see who it was.
"Minnie? Why would she be calling me?" Yuqi shrugged, and picked up the phone.
"Where the fuck are you?"
"Huh? I just woke up, what are you talking about?"
"We promised to meet for brunch today! I'm already at the cafe!"
"Shit! Min I'm really sorry. I'll be there in 20 minutes, and I'll buy your lunch."
"Free food? Deal! Hurry the fuck up."
call ended.
"Shit! I completely forgot. She's gotta be so pissed at me." Yuqi thought, and she rushed out of bed to get dressed, running out of the door and into her car.
Minnie was already sitting at the table she reserved for her and Yuqi. "I can't believe she forgot. I would be mad at her but she's too cute to have a problem with." Minnie thought, playing around with her napkin.
The door of the cafe opened, and Yuqi waltzed over towards Minnie.
"I'm so sorry! I overslept and I—-" Yuqi started, but Minnie laughed.
"Relax, Yuqi. I'm not mad since you're paying for my lunch." Minnie smirked, and Yuqi laughed, relieved that Minnie wasn't upset with her.
"Sure am. Now let's order!" Yuqi cheered, and Minnie smiled. "I don't think I'll ever get tired of looking at her." Minnie thought, observing the happy girl.
Minnie ended up around pancakes with strawberries and cream, while Yuqi ordered waffles.
"You just had to get the most expensive thing on the damn menu." Yuqi scowled, and Minnie laughed in her face. "It's your fault that you were late, now you can pay the price for it. Besides, we're business partners so technically I'm still paying." Minnie retorted, and Yuqi gasped.
"I forgot about that! That was so strange, seeing you at a business venture. I never would have expected it." Yuqi admitted, and Minnie's eyebrows rose.
"Why was it weird? Am I weird or something?" Minnie asked daringly, and Yuqi's face blushed slightly.
"No-I-no, you're not weird. It was just strange since my father didn't tell me that you would be there, that's all." Yuqi stuttered, and Minnie gazed at her. "She's cute when she stutters." Minnie thought, feeling herself fall deeper and deeper for the chinese girl across from her.
"Eh, I agree. My father only told me that I needed to prepare for a meeting, that's all." Minnie grimaced slightly, she hated talking about her "father".
Yuqi noticed the off-ness for a second, but she figured it wasn't her place to ask. She went to get up to go ask for the check, when she slammed into the table, the bruise on her stomach was now burning and bleeding again.
