I walked to my car with a bag full of pastries that I had gotten from the bakery down the way. I always made an extra two hundred bucks a week helping them set up for the early morning shift. Whatever money I could pull was a huge help for Colin and I, I take a glance at my watch. I smiled knowing I had just enough to time to get to Anne's place to pick up Colin before she had to go to work herself. Heading into my car, I started my engine and made my journey back home to see my baby boy excited to lay my eyes on his beautiful face. I gave firm coupe of knocks when I arrived at Anne's house, she opened the door with a huge smile and scrubs adorning her body. "Morning, I hope I'm not late", I whispered for no reason. "No just in time, come on in", she held the door open a little wider for me to enter. "I'll go get Colin", she disappeared to the spare bedroom where my son laid. "There's your mummy", Anne cooed with Colin I her arms "Hey little one how are you, did you miss me", I kissed his lips. "Thank you for everything Anne, I owe you", I took Colin's bag from her. "Nonsense, I'm I could help. See you tomorrow", she asked. "Same time", I smiled.Walking into my flat I placed Colin in his swing while I prepared our breakfast so we could take a nap before I had to go to my next job. I finally flopped back in my bed as I adjusted Colin's baby monitor. He had finally went down for his nap and I knew I had about thirty minutes before he would wake up and we would go to my next job. Setting my alarm on my phone I snuggled up into my pillow and let my eyes flutter shut for some much needed rest. It felt like a blink of an eye before I had to get up since I could hear Colin cooing into the baby monitor. I scooped him up in my arms and kissed his cheeks. "Come on baby, let's get ready for work".
