ONE MONTH LATER.....
"Come on!" I say pulling Molly along with me up to my room with Talia close behind us. Laughing we all go to my room and i closed the door and locked it.
"Okay, clue me in on what is going on," she said as Talia and I laughed and went into my bathroom.
"Hold on," I shout back to her as Talia pulls out three bags from my closet. I smile and take them as we walk back out.
"What is this?" Molly asked surprised at the bags, because she knew what these bags contained.
"I figured since we haven't really had a chance at a normal Senior year, we needed to at least make one good memory of the last year of school. And what better way then to go to Prom," I say making her face light up.
"But, all of us still are scared up and banged up from everything... Do you really want to expose yourself to all those people?" She asked. She didn't have scars like us, but she knew we didn't like them so she was looking out for us.
"Molly, i think we all deserve this night," Talia says with a smile as we pull out the dresses. Molly had a beautiful Lavender dress with a dimaond pattern on the top and a flowly lace part on the bottom. Talia had a black dress with sparkles on the bottom lace part, and plain silk black on the top. Then there was mine, my mother helped pick out for me, it was white, one shoulder that had dimoands on the strap and around the top of it, and a cute short lace bottom part.
"Knock Knock," My mother's voice said fromt he door hours later after we were all dressed and ready to go. I opened the door and my mothers face appeared, still bruised and everything, but still my mother.
"How do we look?" I asked as we all stood in a line. My mother covered her mouth and got teary eyed.
"Oh you ladies look stunning," She said as Aunt Raelynn appeared next to her.
"Oh my, ladies you are beautiful," She says making us all smile. Talia hugged her mother and I hugged mine. Molly stood there, with a look of mixed emotion on her face.
"Come here kiddo," My mother said to her niece. Molly smiled and joined out hug.
"Alright, let's go," My mother said pulling us along. She got to the top of the stairs and made us wait.
"Talia your date is looking fine," Raelynn said making Talia look confused because no one asked her to prom. She looked and Josh was standing there with flowers. She smiled and walked down as we watched.
"I've been wanting to ask you for a long time, but you know we were a little busy," Josh said making Talia smile.
"I thought Allison was your type?" she teases makign Josh blush.
"Yeah, well, I was wrong," He said was Talia hugged him. They were going to make a cute couple no doubt about it. Next TJ walked in, and Molly got all red and nervous.
"What's wrong?" I asked her as my mom and aunt Raelynn talked to Tj.
"I'm scared... What if he doesn't like my dress, or if he doesn't like me anymore, or if i do something stupid tonight that makes him not like me anymore," She says in a paniced voice making me laugh.
"Molly relax.. TJ loves you, i can see it in his eyes. You two are perfect for eachother, you're all sweet and innocent, and he is TJ, the big bad wolf... Just go, he loves to no matter what," I say making her smile. She hugs me before getting ready to go, but then stops and looks back at me.
"Cassidy, you really are the best cousin, and all around great person. You deserve a happy life," She says before walking down. I watch as TJ looks at her with pure love, he smiles and takes her hand when she gets to the bottom of the stairs.
"You look amazing," He says making Molly smile.
"Thanks so do you," She says just as TJ kisses her cheek. She looks back at me as they walk to the living room with the others. Next was me, I sat there waiting for Sam to walk in but he never did. Maybe he forgot.
"Waiting for your date?" a voice says from behind me. I roll my eyes and smiled, but don't turn around.
"Yeah, the idiot is never on time for anything. Probably out causing trouble or getting himself killed like always," I say making the person chuckle.
"You know, they do say you fight and die for what you love most in this world," they say making me smile even more. I turn around and wrap my arms around Sam's neck making him smile. "You look beautiful," He whispers as he leans his head against mine.
"You don't look to bad yourself buddy... Although, you have a few cuts here and there," I joke making him smile and pull away.
"Yeah, I could say the same for you, but you're so beautiful that it distracts me from them," He says taking my hand as we walk downstairs.
"Isn't this weird?" I say as we walk into the living room where pictures are going on. Cole had a date with some girl he just met named Lisa, she was a nice pretty girl who fit in well with out group of crazy people here.
"What's weird?" Sam asked as we walked closer to the group. I smiled and looked around.
"That we made it this far... Still alive and happy, and actually get a shot at the normal life," I said as we stopped. Sam smiled at me.
"It is pretty amazing. But I wouldn't have had it any other way," He says as Cole shouts at us.
"Group Picture," He says as we all get together for a picture. Sam wraps his arms around my waist as I stand in front of him. Cole does the same with Lisa, and so on with all the couples. We take the picture and then the girls all take one, then the boys.
"Now, you all better behave at this dance," dad says as we walk out.
"Of course we will," Cole says making the parents shake their heads.
"We were your age once too don't forget, we know what that mean," Zack says making everyone smile.
"Have fun," My mom says kissing my head as we all leave for the dance.
The night was amazing and everything any teenager hoped for, but to me it was more than just a little high school dance. It was something to be proud of, something that I was happy to have the chance to live and get to go to. Because although it is just a normal dance to everyone else, to us, it was something much more. Later that night putting the pictures in a book, i smiled. The old pictures and new pictures with all the same group of crazy kids.
Extra Infomation:
After the explosion at the werehouse, Heath had to mcuh blood lose and seviere injuries to be able to keep him alive. He died hours after being transfured to the hospital, but I did get a chance to tell him I had forgiven him from the past. He died knowing that he made things right and helped us out along the way, something he was more happy about.
TJ and Molly moved in together after graduation and are planning on getting married soon as well. Of course, it took a lot of convincing to get Uncle Zack to agree to that, but he realized it was what made Molly happy, so he let it go.
Talia and Josh are also moving in together in a couple of months, they have really hit it off and are already planning their wedding in the years to come. Both of them never expected to fall in love, but after going through what we went through they realized they were the ones for eachother.
As for Cole, him and Lisa have had a lot of ups and down in the last months. But Cole being the sweet talker that he is has convinced her to stick around. They have been doing good and are looking into moving in together next summer.
Sam and I, you can say we are doing pretty good ourselves. We just got back from a vacation from Florida that our parents paid for as a thank you for ending the war. I couldn't be any happier knowing we have no more threats to worry about now. We can all have a normal life together.
One thing that hasn't changed though, this family is just as crazy and wild as ever, always new things popping up and going on. But i wouldn't change a single things about my life, because if nothing ever happened, i wouldn't have had such an awesome family around.
