Right when TJ seen Heath walking over his hands became fists on the table and he was trying hard not to look like he was about to murder the kid.d Everyone else greeted him with open arms, then he sat right across from me.
"Im surprised at the number of people who remember me after being gone so long," Heath says looking at Cole and Keegan.
"Yeah well, people remember me from when i was in pre-K still here," Sam says making Heath smile.
"Oh yeah, you are the kid who just dropped off the face of the planet. I remember you, weird you are back just as all this gang stuff happened," He says making everyone a little on edge. "I mean i heard about it, a major gang took up the town and there was this war going on. Crazy stuff, sucks the police won't give out details," he adds on.
"Yeah well, let's just be glad it is over,"Josh says making Heath nod and everyone relax.
"Yeah... So," He says looking at me. I look down and play with my food. "How has everyone been?" He says still looking at me. I was getting uncomfortable with this.
"Dude, you missed all the football games, we have been champs for three years in a row now. You missed some good games," Keegan says making Heath smile.
"Oh football, i really miss that sport. But then again i was never good at it, well not as good as you two," He says finally looking at Cole and Keegan again.
"How about we go down to the feild and play a little, see what you have still," Cole challenges.
"Let's go, im game," Sam says getting up.
"I'll catch up," Heath says as everyone walks away. I noticed TJ was still sitting beside me though glaring at Heath who was also still here.
"Don't you want to go play football kid?" Heath said to TJ. All TJ did was glare at him some more. Heath shrugged and looked at me.
"We have a lot to catch up on Cassidy," He says making me get up, but her grabs my wrist. Faster than i could blink TJ was up and had a death grip on Heaths arm.
"Let go," He warns Heath. Heath slowly lets me go and TJ pushes him back. "Touch her again and your ass is mine," TJ threatens. Heath looks at me then TJ.
"What is your problem buddy?" Heath says not backing down. Just like him, never backs down from a fight, he always has to prove something. TJ crosses his arms, he was very intimidating not going to lie.
"TJ let's go," I say pulling on his arm but he doesn't move.
"My problem is people like you... first and last warning, stay away from her," he says before walking off pulling me with him. we get to the football feild with everyone and I stop before we get closer.
"Thank you for wanting to protect me TJ but making a scene isn't going to help... I just want to forget about what happened and not have anymore troubles with the kid, something is off about him and i don't want to find out what... But thank you," I say walking to the others. Tj just stands at the gates watching all us mess around.
It's been a few weeks since everyone was back at school, things were going alright. TJ was not talking to me though, i mean he was around and watching Heath and all, but he refused to talk to me. Sam and I have our first real date tonight, it is Friday and everyone else is out for the night so the house is all ours.
"What shall we do my lady," Sam says making me laugh as we clean the table. We just ate some yummy chicken alfredo Sam cooked for us, and let me tell you, it was perfect.
"I don't know. We still have a whole hour to ourselves," I say setting my plate down in the sink and looking at Sam who was looking at me already.
"What was that? You want to take a swim," Sam says making me back up.
"Sam don't you dare," I warn him running away. He chases after me and we are running all over the house.
"You can't escape it Cass," He says with a smirk as i run around the table but stop because my wound still hurt like a bruise. I forgot about Sam until i felt myself being lifted. Sam threw me over his shoulders and i started laughing and beating on his back as he made his way outside. The warm night air hit me, it was almost summer and the weather was perfect.
"What was that?" Sam said stopping. I realized what he was doing. "You want me to put you down?" He said laughing a little.
"Sam! Do---" I was cut off when my body was thrown into the water. Unlike the air, the water was freezing. I came up and was shivering like no tomorrow. I heard Sam laughing from the edge, so hard he had his eyes closed. I took the chance and pushed myself up a little and grabbed his shirt just hard enough to make him loose his balence and fall in with me. he came up and looked at me as I laughed.
"That wasn't very nice," He says swimming across the pool enjoying the water.
"Well, it wasn't nice that you did it either," I tease swimming over to the steps. I was about to get out but he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me back into the water. He swam until my back carefully hit the other side of the pool and he trapped me there. Looking at each other i smiled.
"I love you," I whispered making him smile.
"I love you too," He said as he kissed me gentley. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed back. When we pulled away i leaned my forehead on his.
"Guys!!!" Josh says running outside from the house out of breath. We both looked at him.
"What?" Sam groaned.
"TJ got in a fight, come on," He says making Sam and I look at each other before swimming to the edge. Josh helped me up and Sam pulled himself up. We grabbed towels and Josh lead us, he passed the car and we were running down the street. What is happening?
