Chapter 13: Children of the Damned

When Ryan's punishment is finally over, she is going to the boarding house to find Elena. Elena texted her the previous night saying she went to Stefan's after the dance. Ryan dresses and she slips on her leather jacket before grabbing her keys and going out to her car.

Damon is the one who lets her in and he smirks. "Now I can you're different than Elena. I like this better."

"Thanks?" Ryan raises an eyebrow. "I had some questions."

"Come on it, vampire killer," Damon muses. "We can talk in the living room."

Ryan walks with Damon to the living room. "This house is beautiful."

"I guess so," Damon asks as he listens to his brothers and Elena get ready upstairs. "What do you want to know, Ryan?"

"Who is Katherine, and what tomb?" Ryan asks.

Damon pats on the couch beside him as Stefan and Elena leave for the Gilbert house. Ryan sits beside Damon and listens as he explains Katherine first and then he jumps into telling her about the tomb under the Fell church ruins.

"I'll help you," Ryan says seriously when Damon finishes explaining. "Is that okay?"

Damon smiles. "Yeah. That's okay. Thank you."

"You're welcome," Ryan says with a smile. "You do trust me, right?"

"I'm choosing to," Damon replies. "I hope I don't regret it."

Ryan shield. "You won't regret it, Damon."

Ryan and Damon go over to Jenna's, Jenna is happy Ryan has been coming around more since Elena found out the truth about her. Jenna is okay with Damon being over, right now.

"My father never approved of anyone I dated, which only made me want them more, of course," Damon says. "What about you?"

"There were a few guys," Jenna replies. "Logan wasn't the first loser I've dated."

"They ever find him?" Damon asks. "Or is he still missing?"

"He's not missing," Jenna replies. "He's in three Bahamas working on his tan. Very untitled, thst one. Marches to his own drum." Jenna lifts her wine glass to her lips and drains the rest of the substance. "He's a Fell, they're all snooty."

Damon chuckles at Jenna's choice in words befofe he rounds the counter, and pours her some more wine. He smiles before turning back to cook, bur finds that Ryan has already taken over.

"Ryan..."

"What?" Ryan asks as she sends Damon a cocky grin.

"Hello, Elena," Damon greets as Elena walks into the room.

"Hey, where have you been?" Jenna asks as she seems her. "We're cooking dinner; Ryan kind of took Damon's place."

Damon smirks at Ryan before he turns to Elena. "Is stefan with you."

"He'll be here soon," Elena replies.
