Ryan goes to Elena's the next morning after Elena texted her that it was important. She knocks on the door and Elena opens it.
"Come in," she says.
Ryan walks u to the Gilbert house and she hears the news in the kitchen. Elena leads her through the living room and they find John in the kitchen.
"There's the other one," John blasts. "Good morning, Ryan."
"What are you doing here?" Ryan mumbles. "Elena, you drug me out of bed for this? I could have seen him later."
"Coffee?" John offers,
"Please," Ryan purrs as she grabs it. "Why are you here, John?" She asks and sips on the hot beverage. "Oh, sooooo good."
"I'm here to protect you girls," John says. "That's all I can say at the moment."
"What do you mean that's all you can say?" Elena asks.
"I'll tell you two more when I'm convinced I can trust you," John says.
"Trust us?" Ryan scoffs. "Please."
"Oh god, I'm late," Jenna's voice sounds.
"That's what you get for hitting the snooze button three times!"
"Please be dressed," Ryan says as they come in, she sighs in relief when she sees that they are.
Jenna stops and looks at John, surprised. "What the hell?"
"Good morning to you, Jenna," John says. "Alaric..."
"It's okay I'm confused, right?" Jenna asks. "Because we were not expecting you, like, ever."
"I got in late," John admits.
"You know, I'm gonna take off," Alaric says. "I'll see you later, Ryan."
"Okay, dsd," Ryan says and Alaric leaves.
"I'm still confused," Jenna says.
"I decided to come back and stay for a while," John says.
"Not here, you're not," Jenna demands.
"Actually. You can't stop me from living here," John says.
"As legal guardian, I can," Jenna says.
