Elena is in her bedroom with Bonnie, Ryan is at home doing whateber it is she does. Elena looks at the moonstone that she's holding. They had managed to get it when Stefan got stuck in the tomb with Katherine.
"Now that you've got this back, what are you gonna do with it?" Elena asks.
"Right now, it's what is binding the Sun and the Moon Curse," Bonnie claims. "If I can figure out a way to remove the spell from the stone, the stone becomes useless."
"And according to Katherine, Klaus becomes vengeful," Elena says.
"Maybe," Bonnie replies. "If he finds out."
"Bonnie, can't this wait?" Elena asks. "Stefan is stuck in the tomb with Katherine. We've got to get him out."
"Stefan wants me to focus in this," Bonnie claims.
"Don't listen to him," Elena declares. "He thinks he's protecting me and Ryan, but he's wrong."
"I'm taking Stefan's side with this one," Bonnie says. "We're not gonna let you or your sister get used in some creepy ritual sacrifice ritual."
Jeremy walks in as Bonnie's taking the stone from Elena. "What are you guys arguing about?"
"We're not arguing about anything," Bonnie claims and she puts the stone on her bag, she looks at Jeremy. "I need a coffee."
Jeremy looks at Elena when Bonnie leaves the room.
"What?"
"Why are you and Ry on some suicide mission?" Jeremy asks.
"We're trying to prevent everyone else from getting hurt," Elena replies.
"Oh, so bringing Klaus the moonstone so you two can get yourselves killed is okay?" Jeremy shakes his head and walks out.
Elena waits for a moment before she walks over to Bonnie's bag and grabs the moonstone from it. She hurriedly sneaks down the stairs with her keys, she but bumps into Bonnie.
"Where are you going?" Bonnie asks.
"Um, go Stefan," Elena lies.
"You're lying," Bonnie points out.
"No," Elena says, "I'm not."
"Really?" Bonnie asks. "Tell your face."
"Are you serious?"
Jeremy comes downstairs. "She took the moonstone."
"How did you...?"
"We tested you," Bonnie admits, "you failed."
"Klaus killed Katherine's entire family just because she crossed him," Elena says. "I can't let that happen."
Bonnie steps aside and Elena goes to leave, but she's trapped with a barrier.
"It's for the best, Elena," Bonnie says. "Don't worry, when Ryan comes over, and I know she will, she'll be trapped, too."
