Development

Wearing a ripped skinny maong pants partnered with white loose v-neck shirt and a white thin strap heels, I went out of my room to go to my friend's house. Today is Saturday, two days before the classes start in Manila.

"Saan ka pupunta, ate?" My younger sister asked innocently. She's balancing a tray with a glass of orange juice, chips, chocolates and biscuits on it.

Nag-start na ang klase nila noong Monday at dahil weekend ngayon, andito lang siya sa bahay. For sure magkukulong na naman siya sa kwarto niya para makinig ng mga KPop music at pag-aralan ang mga sayaw noon. Kulang na nga lang magmakaawa 'yan kena Mama na i-enrol siya sa Korean class dahil gusto niya raw matuto ng Hangeul!

"None of your business, Cariza Althea." I playfully rolled my eyes and passed by her side.

Minsan kasi ang kulit niyan. Siguradong may follow up question pa siya if ever sasagutin ko ang tanong niya!

"Ang sungit mo talaga, Ate! Para nagtatanong lang eh." Bulong-bulong niya habang nakanguso. Para pa rin siyang bata!

Closed naman kaming magkapatid. Sanay na rin siya sa pagsusungit ko. Buti nga hindi napipikon sakin 'yon eh. Kaso ako minsan ang nauubusan ng pasyensya sa kaniya kasi medyo isip bata pa. Kunsabagay, she's still in Grade 8.

Most people closed to us say na opposite kaming magkapatid. She's the friendly type while I'm the snob. Mabait naman kami pareho pero mas mukha siyang approachable kesa sa akin. A lot of people also say that I'm masungit at may pagka-mataray. I really don't care, actually. I have friends. And though they aren't that many, I'm contented with them.

"Don't go inside my room while I am out!" I warned her even before I could reach the stairs. "And stop eating my chocolates! You have your own ah!?"

Instead of answering, she only stuck out her tongue and immediately went to her door. Sumilip pa siya nang kaunti and made faces, which irritated me more. Grr!! Sobrang pang-asar!

"Damot!" She yelled and quickly closed her door when I was about to go towards her.

Napailing na lang ako at imbes na ubusin ang energy sa kanya ay bumaba na lang ako sa hagdan. Isip bata talaga!

I went straight to our pool area, where Mama and Tita Alexa were talking. Papa was also there, busy reading the newspaper while sipping on his coffee. It's a weekend kaya nagrerelax lang sila ngayon dito sa bahay.

"Hi, Czai! You looked so fab!" Tita Alexa, my father's youngest sister, greeted as soon as I approached them.

I really love her. She's the best sister of my Papa, though of course, she's the only sister of my father. Tatlo lang kasi silang magkakapatid. My father is the eldest at sinundan ni Tito/Ninong Alfred, na nakatira sa New Zealand. At syempre ang bunso at nag-iisa nilang prinsesa ay si Tita Alexa.

"Thanks, Tita!" I kissed her cheek before turning my head to Mama.

"Makikipagkita lang po ako kena Mariz. May usapan po kasi kami." I explained when I saw the question on her eyes. Pati si Papa napatingin na rin sa akin.

"Where are you going?" She put her glass of water on the marbled table.

"Mall lang po. Get together ng barkada before the school starts on Monday."

"How much?" Natatawang tanong ni Papa dahil alam niyang hihingi ako ng pocket money. I grinned as he took his wallet from his pocket. Why do men always put their wallet at the back pocket of their shorts? I just noticed.

"3k po?" I chuckled a little.

"Naayos mo na ba ang mga gamit mo?" Singit ni Mama habang inaabutan ako ni Papa ng higit pa sa hiningi ko. He put 5k cold cash on my palm. "Ihahatid ka na namin bukas sa Manila."
