Virgil was STUFFED with cotton fluff
Roman was STUFFED with expensive feathers
They were bought by a boy named Thomas
His old stuffed dolls Patton, Logan, Janus, and Remus broke, ripped, and came apart
At first Virgil and Roman hated each other
Roman kept saying how he's superior because he's high quality and full of expensive feathers
Virgil kept degrading himself because he wasn't expensive and STUFFED with feathers, just cotton fluff which was "basic" in Roman terms
One day, Virgil got accidentally taken via the family dog. The dog thought Virgil was a chew toy because he was new. Roman being a prince doll saved him from the wet dogs mouth, even though Roman claimed that he would never touch a basic stuffed doll like Virgil
Overtime, Roman stopped judging Virgil by his stuffing and they both got to know each other. Virgil learned that Roman is into something called Disney via Thomas playing Fantasia and enjoying the music. Its rare for a stuffed being to leave the child's room, so Roman got to experience his new obsession first hand
Roman learned that Virgil was a loner. He was scared of new things and a worrier, but he was tough and put on a figurative sarcastic mask full of dark humor. Roman respected Virgil's boundary's which Virgil liked.
The two later fell in love and stayed with each other in every situation from then on
