Every year, Roman's family has a REUNION at a large park

This year, Roman is bringing his boyfriend Virgil and passing him off as his roommate and friend because Romans mother is not accepting of the LGBTQ+ community

Roman and Virgil got there very early so that they can spend some romantic time together

Roman and Virgil got out of the car and got their stuff from the trunk like a picnic blanket and food

What happens if your mom finds out that we're dating?

Then we'll leave alright. We shouldn't be getting into any fights and I know you don't like when people yell and scream

Ok. Thanks for inviting me to the reunion

{Roman}

Roman kissed Virgil's cheek softly and smiled, Virgil immediately turned a little red

The couple found a good spot situated in a flower bed. Roman rolled out the blanket and set it down on the grass. Virgil unpacked their food and the both of them sat down on the blanket when they were done

Virgil laid his head on Roman lap and stared at the bright blue sky and the cotton candy clouds

Roman smiled again and kissed Virgil's forehead. Virgil sat up so that Roman can lay down too. Roman took Virgil's hand and squeezed it gently. The two of them looked at the sky until Romans family came

My family's here, be right back. Remember that we're acting like we're roommates and friends

Virgil nods his head, listening to what his boyfriend said

Roman saw his family near the entrance of the large park

Hi Guys!

Hello there Roman! Why are you early?

{Roman}
I brought my roommate/friend and he doesn't really like loud entrances like we always do when we arrive

//Roman's Mom//
Oh, it's ok. Can I please meet him?

Ok, follow me, we have a blanket set up in a flower bed

Virgil sat up from laying down. He went to his own devices until Roman showed up with someone who he felt a bad aura about

Hey Virgil! This is my Mom, she wanted to met you, is that alright?

Yeah. Hi I'm Virgil, Romans roommate and friend

He stuck out a hand in case Romans Mom did handshakes. Virgil tried his best to not blush when he said his boyfriend's name

It's nice to meet you Virgil

She shook Virgil's hand

I have to greet other family members now I guess I'll see you around the park

Yep you totally will!

Virgil actually didn't want to leave his blanket

Roman's Mom left to greet other members

Roman sat down on the blanket, Virgil immediately latched on to him

It's gonna be ok alright, we're safe as long as she doesn't find out about us being together

Suddenly someone Roman recognized came up to him along with someone who looked like him

Uncle Patton Hi! Who's this?

Salutations, I'm your other Uncle Logan

{Roman}
Wait other Uncle? What about Aunt Vicky?

(Patton)
She's actually lesbian, your grandparents are a bit traditional and so your aunt and I got arranged to be married even though we're not straight. Aunt Vicky said she's sick but in reality she's with her girlfriend. We both know that we have different partners

{Roman}
But why don't I see you Logan?

[Logan]
I'm in the "forbidden basement" with food, water, books, a flashlight, batteries, and bug/rat repellent.

{Roman}
Ohh that's why the door is always locked when I visit. Anyway since you two are together, this is Virgil, my boyfriend. Please don't tell my Mom that we're together because she's not accepting to people like us

Hi Virgil! I'm Romans Uncle Patton. We won't tell your Mom, we've witnessed her backlashes a few times

[Logan]
Salutations Virgil, I am Romans other uncle.

Hi Logan, sorry I'm a bit shy, hope you don't mind at all

[Logan]

Well anyway Logan and I have to find a spot, so we have to go. It was very nice meeting you Virgil

Patton and Logan left the couple to find a spot

Roman's Mom went over to their blanket

Oh he's in the bathroom, he'll be back quickly

Roman couldn't keep up with the act anymore

I'M GAY! I'm dating Virgil and Uncle Patton has a boyfriend. Aunt Vicky actually has a girlfriend and is spending time with her even though she said that she's sick and can't come!

Roman's Mom's eyes went wide and was about to scream and yell when Roman pushed her off the blanket and packed it up. He threw away the leftover food and went over to the bathroom where Virgil is

We're going to the car ok, I told my mom, I just couldn't keep up the act anymore when she mentioned the other gender

Virgil nods his head and held Romans hand. The couple went to their car and put their stuff in the trunk. They then drove off to their apartment and just hung out together without any other problems in their way
