Roman and Virgil live in the very high society of ROYALTY

They have been newly coronated to rule over their own kingdom Starbordia

The couple were hosting a ball to celebrate the coronation. It was mostly Romans idea, but he knew that his husband wasn't a fan of social gatherings so he arranged a spot in their private garden if Virgil gets too overwhelmed

The couple invited their friends Patton and Logan who were from a neighboring kingdom Métis.

They also invited Janus and Remus from the outskirts of Starbordia, even though that Janus and Roman have started a rivalry between them, it would be fair. All the couple asked was for them to be kept watch in case they would start trouble

There was also a whole bunch of nobility and other titled important people were invited to the ball

Roman and Virgil were getting ready before the ball began when Virgil started to worryingly pace back and forth

Roman was done fixing his hair when he saw Virgil pacing back and forth

{Roman}
Virgil?!

Virgil looked at Roman with tears starting to form in his purple and green eyes. He went towards a corner of the room, quietly mumbling something to himself

Roman went towards the love of his life and took him in his arms, whispering things to help him calm down and singing a song that was special to him. Roman also used the number strategies and Virgil slowly became calm

{Roman}
Do you want to talk to me? Are you worried?

Virgil nods his head yes, not wanting to talk

{Roman}
I set up something in our private garden this morning, I can explain the situation to everyone when they arrive and we can have alone time outside, is that alright with you?

Virgil nods his head again, happy that Roman would do something like this for him

A bell chimed, signaling that the guests have arrived

{Roman}
It's time. Go to our garden and I'll meet you there after I explain everything to the guests, alright?

Virgil nods, getting out of Romans arms and kissed the top of his nose, he was about to leave the room when Roman held his hand. Virgil got pulled towards his husband and they kissed again, Virgil's head, temple, cheek, forehead, and lips were the main targets

Afterwards Roman let go of Virgil's hand, letting him go to their garden

Roman went to the ballroom and saw his friends, brother, and enemy. His friends were dancing all over the room, while Janus and Remus were also dancing but kept under watch by guards

Trumpets played, signaling the guests that the hosts were here

{Roman}
Hello guests! Welcome to the coronation ball! Virgil and I will be in our private garden tonight, he got overwhelmed before you all arrived and I didn't want to overwhelm him again. In the meantime dance, have food and drinks from tables provided, and have fun. My head guards Sloane and Corbin will be acting like Virgil and I tonight so listen to them if they have any announcements or anything like that. Virgil needs me now so I have to bid farewell

After his announcement, Roman rushed to the private garden when he saw Virgil sitting on a stone bench in a field of roses. He picked one to stick behind Virgil's ear when he approached the bench

Virgil smiled softly and blushed when he saw Roman come up to him with a beautiful red rose in his hand

Roman stuck the rose behind Virgil's ear and sat down next to him

Virgil kissed Romans cheek

The couple did romantic things in their garden until the ball was over, luckily Janus and Remus didn't start trouble during the occasion

Roman picked Virgil up bridal style and they went back to the castle. It was late and Virgil was tired because he stayed up last night. Roman was determined to get his husband onto a better sleep schedule.

Virgil got set down on their bed, falling fast asleep quickly. Roman got changed from his formal wear to his pajamas. He went next to Virgil, wrapping his big and strong arms around him. The couple fell asleep, happy that they spent time alone together
