Virgil is SCARED of Thunder, Lightning, or loud noises in general

He doesn't want to admit it, his logo is a Stormcloud after all

But one dark and unfortunately stormy night, Virgil sat up in bed at 2am afraid as ever

Virgil doesn't know how to repel the loud noises, his phone is dead and his chargers stolen or missing

Virgil wrapped a blanket around himself and picked up an anniversary gift from Roman. It was a teddy bear which Virgil treasured enormously, it helped him with panic/anxiety attacks alone if his friends were out running errands

But tonight, the teddy bears relief magic wore off and Virgil was not calming down

He slowly went into his closet, besides being a place for clothes it makes a good hiding spot where it's dark and you can't see a thing

Virgil slowly sunk to the floor, clutching his bear while having the blanket covering his ears to try and block the loud thunder from outside

Virgil began to cry and worry, for fear if the thunder and lightning would do something to himself, the house, or any of his friends

Roman was making his nightly rounds of check-ups in the sides room. He went towards Virgil's door and heard the crying as well as repeated no's and what if's. Roman immediately opened the door to help his boyfriend

Virgil was nowhere to be found on his bed, Roman checked his hiding places and normal spots. Until he came across the closet. Roman put his ear against the door and heard the sounds coming from Virgil

Roman's heart broke, he immediately opened the door and saw Virgil, a blanket, and the teddy bear that he bought as an anniversary present

Roman picked Virgil up bridal style with the items and they sunk down to the creative sides room, Virgil flinching every time Thunder boomed as Lightning cracked the sky

Virgil buried his face into Romans shirt, not wanting him to see his fear

Roman sat down on his bed with Virgil still in his arms, the anxious sides mind racing as many thoughts went in different directions

Roman knew the immediate signs of Virgil having an attack, he immediately ran his fingers through Virgil's locks of purple hair while also whispering words of encouragement to try and help his boyfriend further

Sh sh sh sh sh Stormy, it's alright, I'm here, I'm not going anywhere, you're safe here in my arms and in my room, it's going to be ok Stormy, I won't ever leave you alone again during this type of weather, just think about me and you spending the rest of our life together without anyone or anything else

Roman gave Virgil a long kiss on the forehead

The Storm passed away after the couple sat in silence for a few minutes

I knew you were, there's nothing wrong about you being afraid of them and I love you for who you are, afraid of Storms or not

Virgil received another kiss on the forehead
