It was a normal day at work

Roman wasn't particularly jazzed about an office job, but hey it paid the bills

The coworkers were aware and friendly of Romans sexuality, they were happy to finally meet Romans husband Virgil

Roman's boss Logan let him know that he will attend a meeting while a new person is in need of an interview, Roman was up for the job

It was about 12:30 am when someone came into Romans office

Are you Roman Sanders? I'm here for the interview

{Roman}
I am Roman, the one and only! Have a seat

Roman gestured for the intern to sit down in a comfortable red chair across from the oak desk. The intern sat down and saw Romans wedding ring shining from the nearby window

Who's the lucky lady? I saw your ring

{Roman}
It's a MAN, actually

|Intern|
Men can't marry men!

{Roman}
Well then wake up, worlds changing!

Roman and the Intern fight for a couple minutes, Roman decided to bail since he knew that Virgil would be waiting for him at home

Roman gets up from his chair, still fighting with the Intern. Roman grabs his jacket and briefcase

So, do I get the job?

Roman slams his office door, clocking out of the building and focusing only on Virgil

He drives away to his apartment complex, says a quick hello to the desk person and goes up the elevator to floor 6

Roman finds his apartment key and heads inside. There was a sticky note on the kitchen counter from Virgil saying he's out getting groceries

Roman smiled as he thought of Virgil, him coming back from the store to light up his bad day at the office

Virgil came to his apartment to see Romans shoes and briefcase already put away, he thought that Roman probably had a quick day at the office and went home early

Virgil put the groceries away and went to their room, finding Roman watching Parks and Rec on their shared Netflix account. Roman quickly turned the T.V off, very happy to see Virgil

Roman immediately wrapped his arms around Virgil, kissing the top of his head as well

Hey Princey, how was work? Glad you're back early so we can spend some time together

Roman breathed in

Work was good until Logan had a meeting and told me to interview a new intern. They saw my ring from the window and assumed I was straight, turned out that the Intern was a homophobe which sucked. We had a fight for a few minutes until I bailed my office to see you

Princey, I'm sorry

It's ok Stormy, it's not your fault. But I'm feeling better now that we're both home. I can make dinner tonight, hopefully you're hungry

Virgil nods but didn't let go of Roman, wanting to cuddle before food to help Roman feel better more

Wanna cuddle first?

Virgil kissed Romans cheek as a yes

Roman picked up Virgil and laid them both down on their bed, Virgil softly purring as he buried his face in Romans once unbuttoned white work shirt

Roman lifted Virgil's chin and kissed his lips softly, them smiling when they pulled away, their foreheads rested against each other

They made dinner and watched a movie with the food, Virgil cleared the plates and washed dishes

They crawled back into their bed, Virgil being held in Romans arms once again

Roman smiled as Virgil drifted off to sleep, happy that his bad day would end like this
